Yes I know. Was just trying to compare the other forms of favouritism that is also a reason, for some who are less fortunate in that area, to complain about life unfairness and people having things handed to them. It's the circle of life, in a way.

Not trying to change/challenge your unpopular opinion (Though I don't think it's unpopular). Just stated my unpopular opinion based on what you wrote

My house will probably have to pay for care in my old age for me and dh, so my kids will be screwed anyway ( as if they are not already with high house prices)
I feel so sorry for the young.

Yes I blame those who lap it up more than those who take advantage of the demand. If people stopped asking for/paying attention to these things/people no matter how many attention-seeking stunts they pull, they'll gradually fade away because the fans/followers = the fame and money. But that won't happen anytime soon.

I'm sure the celebs did write the books
Mostly they're ghostwritten. I work in publishing.

It is what it is , I know that I just don't buy the books and learn to live with it, but it still feels unfair and I don't like things being unfair . ( life is unfair , I know )

Top of my head:

Tess Daly and Nadiya Hussain's novels are ghosted (the latter does credit her ghost, which is classy, and rare).
Many autobiogs –Linda Nolan, Gemma Collins.
Ray Mears. Grace Jones. Many misery memoirs by minor slebs.

I used to eat meat, then bastard Facebook kept showing me videos of animals (not pets but ones I associate with food such as chickens and pigs) rushing to greet the people who look after them and giving them hugs. I've come to the conclusion that something capable of feeling emotion is probably something I shouldn't be eating!
Also the sheep in the field next to my mum's house cry when their lambs are taken away. I can't eat that anymore and still think of myself as a decent person.

For humans, there’s tastier meat out there than human meat. We aren’t very “meaty”! Whereas pigs, cows and chickens are more palatable

However if we were in a post apocalyptic world - then yes, we probably would eat humans.

Plus - to many animals in the wild, humans would be very tasty!

Iirc animals shouldn't eat their own kind - it would send us mad to eat other humans.

Terry Pratchett books, David Walliams (everything he does) and all chick lit and vanity publishing are shite. As is most TV, especially when advertised as 'entertainment'.
