Just head that Prince Charles has been to visit him in hospital due to ‘exceptional circumstances’. He’s never visited him in hospital before and apparently left looking emotional. It doesn’t look good does it? I wonder how this will play out given the pandemic?

@Doomsdayiscoming

Guys. Please. Stop.

You are ruining season 7 of The Crown for me.

Grin Prince Philip would surely approve Grin

You know it really isn’t hard to see why almost all threads on any of the royals are deleted.

It’s one thing to look at the news headline and think about what that might mean.

To speculate in graphic detail what has been happening, when it will happen and how is vile.

This thread really needs deleting now.

He flies private. He’s a multi millionaire with millionaire friends who have private jets.

For now. Always time to abdicate.

He’s never going to get anywhere near the throne so he won’t be able to abdicate.

Regardless of public opinion, either in favour or not, he is still part of the royal family but not a working senior royal. When Philip stepped down from duties, he stopped working but was still part of the family.

It’s a little like a family firm, you can quit the boring bookkeeping role you had but you don’t quit who your parents and grandparents are.

AlternativePerspective · 20/02/2021 21:50

So, this twitter which is predicting this announcement, that would be the same Twitter which reported that London was going into lockdown 3 weeks before it happened/that the army were being deployed to prevent any travel in or out of London/that Boris Johnson/Donald Trump were dead, not to mention the hundreds of celebrities which are killed off there on a regular basis. Some of them several times.

People do know that twitter isn’t actually a source? That it’s simply a platform where anyone can say anything and that if you catch the right audience that rumour can go viral and before you know it it’s being repeated as truth.

itsgettingwierd · 20/02/2021 21:55

Sad but true fact alternative

People seem to forget behind all this is a family.

Doesn't matter who you are or who you're not. An elderly ill person is an emotional thing and affects everyone in the same way whoever you are or whatever life you've led or not.

Saddens me that people forget this.

Really? You believe that?

Wagsandclaws · 20/02/2021 21:56

If he is at the end of his life I do hope he isn't in pain and is being made comfortable.

Lol. He’s worth about 40 million and Meghan was worth about 5 before she married him. I think he’s not flying cattle.🤦🏻‍♀️

@LindyLou2020

Do you have to write when you are being sarcastic on Mumsnet?

wewillmeetagain · 20/02/2021 22:00

A person is not in hospital for over a week ( thats if he is allowed to go home by Tuesday) as a precaution! The fact that the palace do not comment on his actual health and merely say that he " is in good spirits" is also very telling!

allycat4 · 20/02/2021 22:02

Where's this big announcement?

AlternativePerspective · 20/02/2021 22:02

Well, it’s 22:01 and still no announcement

Frazzled2207 · 20/02/2021 22:02

Nothing on bbc news at 10

AlwaysLatte · 20/02/2021 22:03

Hope he gets well and home soon.

Creamcrackersandricecakes · 20/02/2021 22:03

Nigel Farage talking absolute bollocks as usual, what a surprise. Sad little prick.

Mammaaof · 20/02/2021 22:03

Is this it???

Prince Philip

Rita is wearing black - just in case? But yes, no announcement which suggests it was just Twitter rubbish
