Just head that Prince Charles has been to visit him in hospital due to ‘exceptional circumstances’. He’s never visited him in hospital before and apparently left looking emotional. It doesn’t look good does it? I wonder how this will play out given the pandemic?

If he was really unwell, then wouldn't he be visited by more than Prince of Wales? Hope he gets better - he seems to be fully aware of his surroundings and able to enjoy life.

Frazzled2207 · 20/02/2021 21:12

If he has indeed passed away, I'm fairly sure the RF would do a better job of keeping the rumours off twitter . It would definitely not be leaked.

Although rumours could admittedly happen anyway.

Personally I'm hoping for the announcement to be that Matt Hancock.
has resigned.

I can believe he's not well but I'd be surprised if he'd passed away given that he walked into hospital not that long ago.

@allycat4

The Telegraph has reported this as less dramatic - they are allowed a visit apparently as both vaccinated.
That's not what the hospital's website says about visitors.

Without being morbid, what time to the Royals normally leave between the death and public announcement?

I'm thinking it's not very long, ie less than an hour.

BananaPop2020 · 20/02/2021 21:16

@Livelovebehappy she does a great deal of very good work with unfashionable or controversial causes, most of which goes under the radar. She also has a very ‘real’ quality that the rest of them definitely lack.

AlternativePerspective · 20/02/2021 21:17

So this announcement, is it being reported anywhere other than twitter? You know, like in an actual news source?

GoLightlyontheEarth · 20/02/2021 21:17

Apparently PC is staying in London. That sounds ominous.

BananaPop2020 · 20/02/2021 21:17

@Dobbyafreeelf let’s agree to disagree. You have your position, I have mine.

There is nothing unusual in this.
Biscoffaddict · 20/02/2021 21:19

@Emmelina

Whatever Farage is cheeping on about is unlikely to be related to the Duke - if he has passed, we won’t know until 8am the following day. It’s typical protocol for a sign to be placed outside the palace announcing such things, I think.
Far more likely that Farage is talking about something to do with Trump, possibly him standing for office again. I find it hard to believe he’d have inside knowledge of this.

He probably would though as he may visit again if he is quite ill, it wouldn't be good to be seen traipsing miles too and fro at this time with non essential travel not being allowed
Inthevirtualwaitingroom · 20/02/2021 21:24

it would be unhealthy to travel 100 miles and back in one day for PC surely
who knows
we will be told when it happens
no point speculating

ddl1 · 20/02/2021 21:25

Hope he'll be OK.

But honestly, even if he had died, would Farage be the first to know? That's one of the most bizarre rumours I've ever heard!

It won’t be overnight. It will be 8am or else during the day if necessary.

You can Google all the protocols (and there are many!) and guarantee that they will adhere to them with regards to timing and coming from BP and then the BBC (media wise) first.

Incredibly sad. Twitter is suggesting 10pm news?

SixesAndEights · 20/02/2021 21:30

Whilst I agree that PP might be near the end, I would laugh like a drain if in a couple of days he walked out of the hospital, got into a car and was driven back home!

Pimlicojo · 20/02/2021 21:31

Inthevirtualwaitingroom it would be unhealthy for Prince Charles to drive 100 miles and back in a day? Even without a driver it wouldn't be that incredible.

He’s being chauffeured so no,I don’t think it would be unhealthy.
SixesAndEights · 20/02/2021 21:32

In other news, Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's baby has Philip as a middle name which is nice. Smile

Doomsdayiscoming · 20/02/2021 21:35

Guys. Please. Stop.

You are ruining season 7 of The Crown for me.

itsgettingwierd · 20/02/2021 21:35

@Multicover

How is Harry quarantining relevant? That’s not how quarantine works. You quarantine when you get to your destination surely? As supposed to before and then being exposed to potentially a few hundred others in an airport and on a trans Atlantic flight.
Well I imagine despite him leaving as a royal he'd get get a private jet provided if needed?
BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 20/02/2021 21:36

God, Twitter is the pit-stain of social media isn't it? I just went on for a quick browse and the comments are vile.

Doomsdayiscoming · 20/02/2021 21:37

@Multicover

He’s not a royal anymore. He’s flying cattle like the rest of us.

Inthevirtualwaitingroom · 20/02/2021 21:37

i still think it is unhealthy to be a passenger for all that time
