Now I know you can still buy Jolly Ranchers, because my local old-fashioned sweetshop sells them loose by the 100g, though if you're olde-worlde yourself you can have them measured out by the ounce. They're in their original packs in shops selling American confectionery, but that's a far more expensive way of buying them.

I crave Rolo eggs that were the same size as Creme eggs and there was another one that was the same size and came in a lilac/purple wrapping. I can't remember what that was called though.

Drinks wise, I really liked orange Ribena and Orange C-Vit.

I typed this once so apologies if it comes up twice as it seemed to disappear.

Kwik save had these bolied lollies that came in assorted packets. They were circular and almost flat. They had different colours but my favourites were the purple ones, followed by red then toffee flavour.

I like any kind of Ming chocolate generally. I don't remember a Mint Wispa. That sounds good!

@Newnamefor2021

Recent one from me, Cadbury's has a Cadbury's diary mint crisp at Christmas and I'm so gutted its gone 😆 I liked it a bit too much though so provably a good thing.
They do an irish version of this. We sell them in my work. Also a golden crisp version which is amazing. The proper cadbury chocolate too
ElderMillennial · 20/02/2021 10:24

I wasn't very taken with the Cadbury mint crisp. There are mint chocolates I much prefer... like matchmakers, mint aero, mint Kit Kat...

WildRosie · 20/02/2021 11:06

For a year or two in the 1980s we had 'Fresh Minty Eggs'. I don't know who made them.

ElderMillennial · 20/02/2021 12:49

My first mint choice is the mint chocolate orange

I like the Lindt dark bar too

And thorntons did a nice mint dark chocolate bar too, probably still do but I stopped buying when their prices went up but their quality didn't!

@AliceinBunniland You can still get Milka Lilapause in B&M. They are called "Noisette" now but are the same. DELICIOUS.

jobbyjg · 20/02/2021 18:18

Spira, fuse bar. Both Cadbury's and my favourite fry's five centre . You used to get a ski frozen Choc ice in the very late 80's was so nice

DianaT1969 · 20/02/2021 18:38

Gosh, I'm so glad that I grew up in the age of good chocolate!
Poor kids who have palm oil, plasticine-inspired chocolate as their choice these days. Looking at you Kraft-Mondelez. They should be taken to court for killing Cadbury's. 😄
