Triffic bar (1970s)
It was nougat covered in chocolate.

One that I can’t find any trace of now, as though I imagined it! I think it was called Barratt bar, it was chewy puffed rice and very sticky and sugary.

@AliceinBunniland

I will be looking for pink wafers next time o go to a supermarket

They don't seem to have them for an online Morrison's shop

They sell them in Iceland

@rosetylersbiggun

Anyone remember Cadbury's Christmas Puddings? Little round balls of chocolate, with a kind of truffle filling?

You can definitely get pink wafers, I work in a nursery and we give them to the kids.

JustAPassingFashion · 13/02/2021 16:50

@WildRosie I had some walnut shops for Xmas, same packet as always but they're just called 'whip' now and have no walnut on Hmm

United biscuit bars. Loved them.

NatashaAlianovaRomanova · 13/02/2021 17:06

My local Nisa shop has walnut whips with walnuts on - I bought DD's boyfriend a six pack at Christmas

Secret bars Striper bars Pyramints Spira

Don't know why these things aren't around anymore!

Secret bars had some sort of hundreds and thousands of chocolate on them? Or was that logger bars?

Milkybar choos
Chewy, white choc fudge. Unreal

ChessieFL · 13/02/2021 17:21

Fizzy Lizzie chewy bars.

Fuse bars.

As a limited edition once they did tropical flavour fruit pastilles. They were nice.

I remember as a child (so late 80s/early 90s) you could get a box of chocolates called Inspirations. The box was like a mini chest of drawers - it had about 4 drawers to pull out and each drawer had chocolates in. I think they were mainly fruit themed.

I also used to love these really tangy fruity boiled sweets with a soft centre called Vitafruit. They were lush.

And those frozen chocolate and strawberry mousses you used to get with the blob of cream in the middle.

Becca19962014 · 13/02/2021 17:22

Low carb rolos. Around 2000. I'd buy and eat them by the tube, unlike traditional ones and they tasted a lot better.

They just suddenly disappeared!

Spudina · 13/02/2021 17:24

Spira. Spearmint mojos.
I can still taste them!

PickledRick · 13/02/2021 17:27

I used to love the secrets chocolate bar 😋

AliceinBunniland · 13/02/2021 17:28

I don't go to Iceland and there isn't one nearby

I also used to have some biscuits in nursery that were round with pink brown and yellow icing a bit like a party ring taste but no hole

Yes to Nutty bars and peanut Banjos!
Cadbury’s also used to make Border Eggs, same size as a creme egg but with a sort of chic/toffee/caramel filling.

iamme21 · 13/02/2021 17:42

Choc not chic!

AliceinBunniland · 13/02/2021 17:48

I don't remember Border eggs but I'm sure Creme eggs were bigger and nicer

OP posts:
MissyB1 · 13/02/2021 18:04

Oh I remember the toffee and mallow eggs, much nicer than a creme egg!

MissyB1 · 13/02/2021 18:06

I miss the original Aero bars. They definitely tasted different to the sickly ones you get now.

misskatamari · 13/02/2021 18:08

Mingles! Oh how I loved them. So minty and delicious.

Spira were great too. Loved those. Always wished Cadbury would bring them back but alas Cadbury's chocolate is so gross now I don't think I'd even like them if they did 😭

Random but Morrison's used to do a lovely wholemeal garlic bread which was amazing too. So so tasty. Wish they still made that

WouldstrokeTomHardy · 13/02/2021 18:16

There was a chocolate bar in a brown wrapper. It had layers of wafer and caramel inside. I loved them but cannot think what they were called. Help? 80/90s
