As in... tickled you.. have a wry inwards smile.. dare I say it have a silent chuckle? I don’t drink tea and so have never spat it out Smile

There are tons... one from this week is from a thread where the teenagers had drunk all the milk at 2am leaving none for the OPs morning tea. What tickled me was a different poster empathising and saying that in a different thread the other OP had retaliated by “aggressively hoovering” outside their teen’s bedroom door.

Aggressively hoovering. Love it.

There was a thread focusing on I think predictive text, and the poster had sent her friend a message:

"I will rim you later"

Her friend replied "No you fuckin won't"

Dying laughing again 😂

What tickles me is people using the word tickled. I love it. It’s an innocent, silly word.

Cupola · 12/02/2021 16:17

What definitely doesn’t tickle me is being tickled by this thread mid sciatica flare up, and every tickle makes me laugh and cry.

@TheresOnlyOneJackieWeaver

There’s a fantastic thread in classics about the OP who had a couple of people shagging in the hedge at the bottom of her garden at night. After lot’s of suggestions of appropriate playlists, the OP started up one song and the neighbours complained about the noise. She then told them the reason and they got very involved in the whole saga trying to work out who the couple were, etc. A number of poster’s said it might actually be badgers or fox’s or some other creatures and the OP said something like I’ve never heard of a badger who asks for a finger up the bum. 🤣
Hahaha

@VetOnCall

There was a thread ages ago in Baby Names where the OP asked if there were any names that Hugo could be short for. There were some hilarious responses - Hugoesthere, Hugotthelove, Hugoslavia and Hughgogirl were my favourites Grin - but the OP didn't appreciate them and got a bit stroppy and then flounced, whereupon someone quipped 'are you still there OP or did Hugoaway?'. It still makes me laugh now.
Brilliant! 😂

@allgoodinthehood

Im crying with laughter reading these . I cant remember the thread but someone was having a row with their DH and said " lets play the Fuck Off game and you can go first " Ive been known to use this and smile whilst I say it . 😂
It's definite. I need new glasses.

I thought this was having sex with their dh and thought the wife didn't want to so wanted to tell him to fuck off to get out of it Blush.

EssentialHummus · 12/02/2021 16:46

When a bloke who works in IT tried to do an AMA, and one of the responses was along the lines of “Oh, thank goodness you’re here! Til now I’ve just been bashing my tits on the keyboard and hoping for the best.”
The dolphins thread - you'll thank me.

Wow has a dolphin stole your husband or something? You sound bitter

Did a dolphin rob your sweets as a child?

I’m off to buy some tuna right now.

Mocking smiley bastards 😂

Impatiens · 12/02/2021 16:50

Between the zoom meeting with the cat filter and this thread I've had the most larfs in ages. (still laughing about Dominic Raab's karate chops Grin)

Also this is thread is now distracting me from THIS thread! Oh it's gold 😂 haha

@Wildery

Not a one-liner, but the story in a post asking for people's most mortifying stories (brilliant thread) is one of my all-time faves - she was at the dentist, and when the dentist said "suction", she thought he was talking to her and started sucking his finger. I can never think of that without cracking up.

Loving the reminders of posters' remarks, so funny and quick.

Omg link!!! 😂😂😂😂
Chicchicchicchiclana · 12/02/2021 17:07

The Brian from Hull and his yoni massage thread was very funny, especially all the changed names.

HereIfYouNeedMe · 12/02/2021 17:20

@Sheleg

Someone once posted a "can you help me find" thread looking for a really obscure album by a police force in Hawaii from the '60s.

The first reply was "MARGARETTTT? I've a lady here looking for an album by the Hawaii police force..." etc.

As in the League of Gentlemen sketch. Had me roaring!

Haha brilliant!
Smile345 · 12/02/2021 17:32

This thread is amazing, just the tonic after a pants day!

Veterinari · 12/02/2021 17:34

Can't remember the thread or the poster but the put-down was

'Did you read that in a book written in crayon?'

Brilliant

Snooks1971 · 12/02/2021 18:03
@SuePurblybilt is just brilliant on that thread Envy
Yes she is! It was the first time I’ve seen that thread too, despite being around at the time. Bloody brilliant. And lo....forsooth Grin

OP posts:
Diverseopinions · 12/02/2021 18:31

I haven't read every page of the thread, so hope it hasn't been mentioned, but when a poster complained about her partner's running commentary on the feel of her 'Mary' during doing the business.....

another poster commented, 'You should tell him: "You're supposed to be f it, not reviewing it for TripAdvisor!"'

I thought that was very funny!

neverenoughchelseaboots · 12/02/2021 18:38

I think 'slightlymiffedincheadle' as a name change for the 'disgustedinmanchester' thread was brilliant and hilarious.

RandomGirl · 12/02/2021 18:57

@Pebbledashery that whole post had me actually laughing out loud! I was chuckling so much that my husband wanted to read it. He didn’t find it as funny though and it kinda ruined it for me but hey ho! Grin

Avondklok · 12/02/2021 19:12

Hot pork in cider - what you should have when your date takes you up the Oxo Tower and Fucking Spanish food eating Spanish Spain bastards in Spain.

Avondklok · 12/02/2021 19:13

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/mumsnet_classics/1174221-Thickos-on-TripAdvisor?pg=2 Thickos on Tripadvisor is one of my all time faves.

Pebbledashery · 12/02/2021 19:21

@randomgirl I just loved the thread title it made me howl even before reading the thread 😂

Tomcullenisahero · 12/02/2021 19:23

These are so funny. Ive tears in my eyes and everyois asking what is so funny! I can't speak😂😂😂

RandomGirl · 12/02/2021 19:24

@Pebbledashery it made my day! As has this post, I was feeling a bit sorry for myself and thought, I’ll search for something on Mumsnet for something humorous and this came up like a shining beacon to save me! I also just went and bought Prosecco for the occasion! 🥂
