I know it’s probably been done many times before but I’ve just noticed one I can’t believe I hadn’t seen before!

• when Joey is about to act in the war film with Gary Oldman, Phoebe doesn’t know who they fought in WW1 but in the Thanksgiving episode she was a nurse in the same war in a previous life.

So she would have known they fought the Germans!

In the episode where Monica asks Chandler to go for fertility tests with her she says ‘we’ve been trying for a baby for over a year now’
This happens before Emma’s first birthday which is shown a few episodes later - Chandler and Monica decided to try for a baby at the hospital when Rachel was in labour.

Buffalo not quite, I remember the episode with the seduction and Monica comes out all wide-eyed looking at him after Chandler says 'Because I am in love in Monica'. And then he tells her 'That's true, I love you'.

So it has indeed been two surprising moments for Monica 😀

If you remember, Monica is just as surprised by it. She walks out of the bathroom all like "what did you just say?!!"

Phoebe had triplets for her half brother, met her biological mother who lived at the beach, had a horrible identical twin sister and even met her biological dad but when she married Mike, none of them were there.

Phoebe also spent time living on the streets as a homeless teenager. Then she lived with her Grandma in her apartment, even inheriting it when Grandma died and she lived there with Rachel. Where was Grandma and her apartment when Phoebe was on the streets.

Joey's sisters were added to and decreased in number on a regular basis.

Richard's daughter was friends with Monica and she remembers him from when she was a little girl, the same age as his daughter. 🤮

Ross' birthday month changing.

Ross claiming to be a virgin when he slept with Carol, yet later on admits to sleeping with the woman who cleaned their dormitory in college.

And them being so clueless about where Minsk is.

Also, Ross says he hates ice cream, but in the episode he reunited with Marcel he ate it.

In Phoebe's wedding episode it was snowing heavily, which I think was meant to explain why some people couldn't get there.

Having attention to detail is a blessing and a curse sometimes - I am enjoying this thread . In an early episode Phoebe refers to her friend 'Abbie who shaves her head'. In a later series her name has changed to Bonnie, who dates Ross.

I'm not sure if someone else has already said it but Ross's birthday, I'm sure his birthday is in October and December.

Also their ages. Monica, Rachel and Joey start off as 25/26 and then Ross gets married to Emily in 1998 so by then they should be 29/30 but they don't turn 30 until a few years later.

There's so many more, but I'm sure people have mentioned so I'm going go read them now. I love the show so much so it upsets me when they're so inconsistent 😂

I just never really understood the business with phoebes mum, didn’t she end up meeting her when they went to the beach house?

In the flashback episode it is one year until Rachel is going to marry Barry. During this time Ross finds out Carol is a lesbian. But in the pilot it is the day of Rachel and Barry's wedding and Ross and Carol are only just separating. What did they do for that year?

in one of the very early episodes Phoebe is eating a lasagne.

No there is a what if episode, but there is also a flashback episode when Janice asks if any of them have ever slept together, it shows when Joey moved in with Chandler.

They do explain that - Grandma Geller is the tennant, and lived there for years so it had rent control. They couldn't tell anyone she didn't live there. The caretaker guy mentioned it now and then. Monica explained it quite early on.

They are all different

In the episode where phoebe has allegedly never seen the end of sad movies because her mom never wanted her to see the bad/sad endings. Yet phoebe also allegedly lived on the rough new York streets where she had to be "street" phoebe. Doesn't make sense.

All the comments about Monica’s “enormous” size in high school, having to get her band uniform specially made etc - she was a size 16/18 at most in the flashback episodes.

The episode where rachel and Ross get pulled over in Monica’s Porsche- the camera does a far away shot of “them” in the car- it’s very clearly not them. Not even close. Despite the wig

When Rachel comes to central perk in her wedding dress in episode one, she doesn’t seem to know Chandler but then in later flashback episodes she has met him lots of times

Also that Monica doesn't seem to know any of Rachel's friends from home in the early seasons even though Monica & Rachel grew up together and went to the same school so you'd think they'd at least know each other in passing?

My friend in NYC always said that apt would cost 3k a month in rent and they work in coffee shops...!!...totally unrealistic.....I never like the show...total rubbish.
