• when Joey is about to act in the war film with Gary Oldman, Phoebe doesn’t know who they fought in WW1 but in the Thanksgiving episode she was a nurse in the same war in a previous life.

So she would have known they fought the Germans!

@PeacheyPeach yes! But then again, sitcom children are often forgotten because the writers cba to include them in a realistic way.

Tbf Rachel does mention she’s spoken to Gucci about their “situation” and that’s that sorted apparently. Ross already refused to move to london as he had Ben so it’s not like he’s got form for being fine with a trans Atlantic separation.
I suppose if he’d raised the perfectly valid point that he was Emma’s parent too we couldn’t have had the airport showdown.

It was Louis Vuitton. She didn't get the Gucci job because she ballsed up the interview as her boss was behind her. Which bugs me, why didn't she quietly explain to the interviewer? Could Ralph Lauren really sack her for going for an interview? And she apparently had to listen to all the numerous ways in which she wasn't a team player but when Ross was trying to get her her job back, Mr Zellner agreed with Ross that she was good.

I've said this many times over the years about Friends, early seasons were intelligently funny, sharp, witty...when you compare it to season 8 it's like another show altogether, I can't believe it's the same people writing it (was it even then?). Totally dumbed-down, unbelievable crap.

The whole 'my boss wants to buy my baby' then being awarded another month's paid maternity after Joey shouts at Mr Zellner...and don't even get me started on the Joey speaks French episode

Totally agree. They were all unique and interesting at the beginning. But they turned them into caricatures of themselves by the end.

Monica was actually fun in the beginning but by the end all she cared about was obsessive cleaning.
Rachel was the rich girl going it alone forging her independence but by the end was nothing more than a wet tissue moping about over Ross who treated her like shit.
Phoebe was the quirky vegetarian with principles who became mean, sexist, unkind, and if she was my “friend” I would have dumped her years ago.

Chandler was the friend with the dry wit who became so emotionally constipated by the end that joking was literally his only form of communication.
Ross was..... well, he was always a sexist, misogynistic, homophobic twit.
Finally, joey started out only a bit dim but very charming which was why he got so many women but by the end lost so many brain cells I’m shocked he could even live independently.

Sad, because other sitcoms didn’t do that - Frasier for example. They didn’t boil all their characters down to one single personality trait by the end.

When Rachel is trying to play it cool with the neighbour Danny, she tells him she's going to a regatta gala. He asked if she sailed, she said no. Later she teaches Joey to sail when he buys a boat.

I feel I'm bringing the tone down, but did Rachel ever wear a bra? I noticed once that I could see her nipples and after that I realised I could always see them! She does say in one of the episodes that she has great boobs.

I have one from the one where Joey and Chandler win Monica and Rachel's apartment. They are in the "Lightning Round" of the game and Monica and Rachel get stuck on the question: What is Chandler Bing's job? Eventually Rachel shouts "transponster". Monica glares at her in disbelief and screeches ..."That's not even a word !" Then she says "oh no, no, I can get this, I can get this..." before Ross presses the stopwatch and the game is over. But Rachel had already given an answer: Transponster. Ross should have said the correct answer and moved onto the next question like we previously saw him do moments before when Joey got the question wrong when it was their turn, instead, he let the time run out. Monica being Monica would have called that out!

Apparently she said the directors did that deliberately and even made her wear fake nipples so she would always have visible nipples. Quite creepy tbh.

In the scene where Monica and Chandler get into bed for the first time. Chandler frantically removes his pyjamas and Monica says “wow you are really fast” but she’s already removed her clothes before he has finished removing his so she was faster!

A few more that always get on my nerves. When Carol and Susan are getting married and everyone is on at Ross to give her away because her father refuses. Why should he? She did the dirty on Ross with Susan why should he feel responsible for Carol!!?

And when Phoebe pretends to be Ben's mum.so she can get tickets for the Sting concert why doesn't the school or the police inform Ross and Carol that someone was impersonating them!!??

I obviously have to much time on my hands!!

Rachel irritated me by constantly touching her hair, she would go as if to put it behind her ear then let it drop.

Once you see it you can't stop looking out for it.

She was constantly moving her hands, either touching her hair or patting down her skirt or straightening her top, bloody fidget!!

I saw an interview with her, she was talking about a role in a movie where she played someone very introverted and dowdy, and said the director tied weights to her wrists to remind her not to constantly fidget

Watching Friends right now and spotted another one... It's the episode where Phoebe's singing voice changes because she has a cold. Monica casually says, "Oh Phoebe, I think I caught your cold." But in a later series, Monica makes a big thing about how she never gets sick, only weak people get sick, etc.

The only thing I have noticed is in Joey and Chandler's apartment.
In the early episodes there is shelving unit to the left hand side of their front door, but later on that just becomes a wall....which is nowhere near wide enough to have ever housed the shelving unit!!

I seen a thing on fb that Jennifer Aniston always clears her throat before going through her lines.

And yes to the change in phoebe. I'd have ditched her as a friend. She nearly splits Monica and chandler up a few times.

Joey changes so much I'm surprised he can even put his socks on himself.

Also tried the mastermind quiz and I got 6 as well.

The pictures on the wall in central perk changed all the time.

Monica is the only chef I know who never has to work high days and holidays.

Half the cast were said to be Jewish but they forgot this when arranging weddings.
