Yes, the guys a complete git. But at a time when the news has been dominated by endless brexit or endless covid, he did supply entertainment value, in 'what an arse, can't believe he said that' sort of way.

I think I'll miss it a bit.

@HmmSureJan

Didn't the Obama administration "build the cages"?
Oh god, this again.

The facts

TLDR: If I build a house with a basement, and you buy the house, and you use the basement to imprison kids you've kidnapped, you can't then turn around and say "bUt wHo BuiLt thE bAsemEnT?".

I'm in the US, we're not free from him at all. It's easier to ignore now he's lost the Presidency and his Twitter account, but all the insidious stuff is still there. The part that allowed us to laugh about it was the fact he was in a position with checks and balances, even if they weren't functioning.

Even if he doesn't decide to run again or set up his own party, his campaign coffers are full giving him huge sway over 2024.

59 missiles initially. Approx' 190 in total. They continued because the Assad regime's violations of the Chemical Weapons Convention. There's independent confirmation of Syria's many uses of chemical weapons in recent years. Most notably from the UNHRC. If you disagree with this strategy then you'll need to explain whether you think the Chemical Weapons Convention should be enforced, or not?

The reason I didn't argue about the Kurds is because I couldn't be bothered. But I will if you insist. First off - The last time I looked, there were like 25 different factions of "Kurds" and who they were for or against on any given week varied with the climate change on the ground and where they happened to call home that week. There is no Kurdish people or "Kurdistan" in effect to ally with. Kurds were just hired mercenaries whose goals coincided with the US' at the time. And they were well paid and supplied with arms.

Perhaps Trump made serious errors of judgement in this area? I'll be generous and won't doubt it if you told me he had done. But that hardly qualifies as waging a war. Not in the sane way so many previous US presidents have.
