Strange bookmark found in a book.

Sitting here waiting for the man to repair my heating and I thought I’d start a new book. It’s an out of print one from the 1970s that I’d been searching for ages. I picked it up and flipped through to find a rather surprising bookmark. I’ll post it a bit later just to keep you all guessing. 😀

I wonder though, have you ever flipped through a book and found something odd, surprising, intriguing or unexpected? I would love to hear about it. 🙂

Our librarian found a €50 note as a bookmark from an elderly patron. I've found the library book receipt from the previous borrower. It's given me a good reading list as we have the same taste.

What book is it?

A £20 note. It was a book I'd bought from a second hand book shop for my university course. At the time I was cash strapped, and it was a lovely surprise to sit there at home reading and find it.

I also like the idea of finding bus/train journeys from bye gone era sounds like that black and white 1940s film of a couple who met on a train somewhere.

Weirdest thing I found was a list of TV chefs. I had borrowed the book from my nan so I asked her about the list and she said she had been looking for it - she writes their names down so she can remember who they are. Doesn't do it with anyone else off the telly, just Antony Worrall Thompkinson and his pals.

I found a blank certificate for flying on Concorde.
I've never flown on it (I won't now either) but I could fill it in and tell everybody I had.
