Anyone fancy a new jigsaw thread?

Hello all.

I really enjoyed the last jigsaw thread which was going on during the summer and wondered if anyone fancied sharing any pictures of jigsaws that are currently being done?
I'm nearly finished with my Disney Christmas one. A nice easy one which has only taken me a couple of days.
The weather is grim today so I expect it will be finished very soon! I will post a full picture once it is complete.
Would love to see your jigsaws....

Redoing some of my old jigsaws, this one was a bit samey.

The reason a 1000 piece jigsaw takes so much longer than a 500 is that each piece has so many more possible locations, and each space has so many more potential pieces to fill it.

I gave this one to DS and DDIL for Christmas , there are lot of nice ones in the 'World of.......' series.

I currently doing a HOP jigsaw. I have broken my right wrist and struggle ith picking up the pieces, but the HOP one are 500 pieces and the pieces are extra large, so suit me fine.

just started a wheres wally one. yikes

This 1500 was a bastard, took me weeks. Pieces don't fit snugly and the picture is blurry so I had a few misplaced pieces messing up the fit of others.

I’ve started this Cloudberries Origami puzzle. Really impressed with the quality of the puzzle and the pieces are nice and matte, which I like. I’m a bit daunted by how much blue background I have to fill in!

I've just done Crazy Cats in the Craftroom (1,000), which was great fun. It's too big for my usual board at c70 x 50cm, so I finished it on the dining table & had to make sure it was done & gone before dinner!

I was trying to think what else I could use for bigger puzzles. Has anyone used a whiteboard/blackboard/notice board?

I use a massive whiteboard on the spare bed for 2000 or 3000 piece jigsaws as they don't fit on the table. When not in use as a jigsaw board the whiteboard serves as a headboard for the spare bed. It's about 5ft by 4ft.

I started this 1980s themed one yesterday afternoon seeing as it was too rainy to do much of anything else.

I haven't done a proper jigsaw for ages, but I have just spent several hours putting together a pattern for a blouse that was printed on 20 odd pages of A4, does that count? Grin

I have this Elena Essex jigsaw waiting for me. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0B6T6VSRS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 I find jigsaw making is more of a wet weather/winter activity, but it's so miserable and wet here this summer that I'm tempted to just do it.

Did this 1000 in about 5 hours, it was great, no brute force bits.

I'm not supposed to be buying any more puzzles 😂- I'm just browsing, honestly! Saw this one & don't think I'll be buying it (PHOTO - reader discretion advised). It's on uk ebay if you want it.

I was very tempted by a recent one that was a collage of wild animals 'at it', but I managed to resist. Who knew this stuff was out there? I thought puzzling was such a sedate activity.

It’s rained all day so, apart from a few hours out to see Barbie, I’ve started and completed this one. I did the 1980s one last weekend and this is the 2000s.

This was a beast. So much sky! It took weeks. 3000 pieces.

3000 pieces? Crikey, it looks really tricky too.

Yesterday’s rain encouraged me to do a jigsaw. Just finished it!

I love seeing what puzzles people have been doing, especially if they post ones I haven't come across before.

@MadisonAvenue That one's beautiful.

@OublietteBravo What make is your animal puzzle?

@InMySpareTime you must have the patience of a saint.

I just have a lot of time on my hands. DH went away for a week and I'm pretty much housebound without him and the car. I spent most daylight hours for a week jigsawing as I had not much else to do.
