Anyone fancy a new jigsaw thread?

Hello all.

I really enjoyed the last jigsaw thread which was going on during the summer and wondered if anyone fancied sharing any pictures of jigsaws that are currently being done?
I'm nearly finished with my Disney Christmas one. A nice easy one which has only taken me a couple of days.
The weather is grim today so I expect it will be finished very soon! I will post a full picture once it is complete.
Would love to see your jigsaws....

Some great jigsaws on here! We're working our way through our stash that didn't get done over the past year. Think we've done 4 over the Christmas and New Year period.
Part of my motivation of getting some of them done is that I can then justify getting some new ones! I tend to buy from charity shops so not a big expense but there's only so many I can fit on the bookcase....

(Namechanged since last posted, can't remember who I was!)

Just finished this one in the Nick of time before returning all things Christmassy to the loft!

Two pieces missing... I'm looking at you puppy dog 🐶 👀

I loved doing this one from the charity shop. Somebody had kindly separated the edges and put it in a little bag. It took me less than 24 hours, a record for me doing a 1000 piece. So, so satisfying.

It took a moment for the picture to appear after I’d read your comment and I thought for a minute you might be local to me, I always bag the edges in a separate bag when I break up a jigsaw 😂
That isn’t one I’ve ever done though.

I did that one last Christmas (2021). It was part of a double pack of puzzles along with the one I posted (which featured a lot of the same scene) from a few weeks ago.

Gibsons new jigsaws out today.

So far I have restrained myself but I really want the new Val Goldfinch one

Geamhradh · 10/01/2023 16:33

Started the (badly photographed thanks to dying phone) northern lights one yesterday. Ermagerd. Managed 4 pieces so far today 😂so hard!

Did No Ball Games by Ailsa Black over the weekend. My first 1000 piece jigsaw! I can thoroughly recommend it especially for fellow newbies. Bright and cheery colours (perfect on a grey rainy day) and lots of cute animals hidden throughout.

Finished a 500 piece last night, which took 2 sittings.

It was part of a series from Aldi of movie posters in a Blockbuster video style box. I’ve got Jaws and Beetlejuice in the same series yet to do.

I was really surprised how big the pieces were. It wasn’t difficult despite the lack of colour variation.

Finished this one yesterday, took a few days doing a bit here and there. Have got one of Liberty to next plus some Lego from last Christmas!

I'm off work at the moment after having an operation at the begining of January.
A friend gave me The world of Agatha Christie, and I've just finished it.
Its a long time since I'd made a jigsaw but I loved this, especially with Death on the Nile and Evil under the Sun on TV in the background 🙂

Finished my Disney panorama, while waiting in for the sofa delivery ( which didn’t come. They went to the wrong house and then rang the wrong phone number)

the edges were tricky, I had built the top one back to front, so a lot of this morning was a rebuild of that.

I finished this one last week. I actually bought it for last Christmas! I’ve a Disney one to do next as well.

Lots of missing pieces in this one, but I finished it as best I could.

@InMySpareTime 3000! 😱
It's so frustrating to have all those missing pieces. I'm half expecting that in my current jigsaw as it seemed to stick to me/fall on the floor with alarming regularity when I started it.

petitebleu · 20/02/2023 11:33

This was hard going and I was convinced that the cat had hidden half of the pieces after finding one randomly on the sideboard.

So relieved to have it done!

Oo I'm so happy there's a puzzle thread!! I've just this month got into them and I sense an addiction coming. I started with a 500 one then did a 1000 one. Can't believe they're so exciting to do!

Those look lovely and colourful, did they take long?

MsChatterbox · 26/02/2023 18:04

@InInMySpareTime I'm a complete newbie so each one took about a week! Would really recommend them though every piece was enjoyable!

MsChatterbox · 07/03/2023 20:16

Working on this at the moment! The majority of the rest of it is a big tree which I've been avoiding!

Did this one in a few hours, it was good fun.

I'm about to start this one. My DM gave it to me and she said it was lovely to do.

Oh yes that balloon one looks fab, loads of different blocks of colours.

This is the one I'm attempting at the moment. It's so difficult, the colours are all the same.

The pieces are weird shapes too which doesn't help!

FaoinDrualus · 11/03/2023 11:45

Just finished this one. Its Christmassy - so a bit late (or early!). But wintery so fitting with the snow we had this morning 😂❄️ I found it tricky, but very satisfying when it started to come togeather.
