Help with stupidly hard quiz

ApocalypseNowt · 01/12/2020 11:29

Each year my work does a stupidly hard quiz. There are many stages and we get a month to try and do it.

Anyone help me with this stage? there are 21 pictures of celebrities and I've managed to work out who they all are but now I'm stuck on working out the password to the next stage. Each picture has a coloured Roman numeral in it so I assume I have to use those to work out the answer...

Is a) Inside Ouch?

CorianderQueen · 01/12/2020 16:56

Oh gout, smart

ApocalypseNowt · 01/12/2020 17:42

Don't know about lockdown as I was off for quite a while then. It's a charity.

A charity staffed by some very brainy people, clearly!

ApocalypseNowt · 01/12/2020 17:48

Last year only a few actually finished it. Like single figures Grin

But did they have the entire force of MN behind them...?

ComeOnBabyHauntMyBubble · 01/12/2020 18:02

@SoupDragon

But did they have the entire force of MN behind them...?
Anagram for WRONG TITLES?
ApocalypseNowt · 01/12/2020 18:03

No, they had MI5, mensa and a team off Only Connect Grin

SoupDragon · 01/12/2020 18:09

Amateurs.

Notcoolmum · 01/12/2020 18:15

Genius!! Wrong titles. Love how clever some of you are!!

rosegoldwatcher · 01/12/2020 18:26

Is there a part 3 @ApocalypseNowt?

ApocalypseNowt · 01/12/2020 19:59

Is there a part 3?

Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahah. Yes. And so much more.

Managed part 3 all on my lonesome. Am now on part 4 which is the 'meta' round. So 8 individual puzzles that you need to solve to move on to part 5.

I've finished for the day now but will post some more tomorrow Smile

What was the answer to H?

Will0wtree · 01/12/2020 23:28

@Herdwick H was Apocalypse Nowt (someone cleverer than me got that one.)

psychomath · 02/12/2020 00:42

Wait was it a coincidence that that's OP's username, or was this an older round that she'd already solved??

Will0wtree · 02/12/2020 08:31

@psychomath That's odd, I hadn't realised that. It came from round 2 which I thought wasn't accessed until we solved the picture round.

But looking back, the user posted a similar quiz last year, and if you like quizzes then sometimes clever questions will get re-used in different quizzes. So you might see an answer somewhere else.

BarbaraofSeville · 02/12/2020 08:40

I'm thinking that the OP works for M15 and the quiz is actually a recruitment technique where the winner is selected for either some sort of fast track management training programme or a special mission that requires exemplary codebreaking techniques.

SoupDragon · 02/12/2020 08:46

Managed part 3 all on my lonesome.

How dare you!

😂

Made a start with a couple of the metas but these two have me completely stumped...

I'll be back later, just need to throw on a trench coat, nip to the park and swop a briefcase with Sergei (not his real name obvs)

Oh and my username is a total coincidence. It's from Alan Partridge Grin

Confused I am 100% lost on this one.

SEE123 · 02/12/2020 12:09

@ApocalypseNowt can you post the meta instructions plz?

These look like acronyms to me, are they song lyrics maybe? With timestamps of where the line appears in the track?
psychomath · 02/12/2020 12:16

Although they would be long songs in that case!
