Help with stupidly hard quiz

Each year my work does a stupidly hard quiz. There are many stages and we get a month to try and do it.

Anyone help me with this stage? there are 21 pictures of celebrities and I've managed to work out who they all are but now I'm stuck on working out the password to the next stage. Each picture has a coloured Roman numeral in it so I assume I have to use those to work out the answer...

Just get entered into a draw. Not sure what the prize is...usually a box of chocs or a voucher or something.

My sister bought me a Bletchley Park Code Breakers book ages ago, but it all looked too difficult. I may now have a proper go at some of them.... This was much more fun than the Book Title one (I don't read enough, obviously....).

This is my book, which I think is probably the same.

I can't solve them either 😂

Sent in my entry and quiz masters said they're going to make it harder next year - eek! I mentioned the GCHQ puzzle book and he said they use that for inspiration lol

I'm struggling with the crosswords, as quite a lot of the answers are words which were presumably in more common usage in the 30s and 40s. Or I'm just a lot worse at them than I thought! Lol

I won't put the answer on here yet in case others want to have a go. Feel free to dm me in the meantime:)

The word search is much more obvious when I put it into Excel. I should have done that earlier, it was driving me nuts for hours! Not a productive work day.....

I'm struggling on the latest one 'what I did for love'.

I've worked out what the four things are, but I can't turn them into an answer - I've tried picking out letters corresponding to the numbers but just get nonsense!

I feel so close! I was hoping sleeping on it would help, but still no joy this morning. Any hints?

I've only managed to work out what the first three things are.

Haven't managed to see what the last one is or turn the first three into answers either.

I've only solved the first of the what i did for live set so far.

But have taken the 5th and 10th words from that and am assuming I will get words from the others that make a phrase or clue from that.

Am still working through it though so could be on the wrong track!
