Help with stupidly hard quiz

Each year my work does a stupidly hard quiz. There are many stages and we get a month to try and do it.

Anyone help me with this stage? there are 21 pictures of celebrities and I've managed to work out who they all are but now I'm stuck on working out the password to the next stage. Each picture has a coloured Roman numeral in it so I assume I have to use those to work out the answer...

I don't think that does much as when I tried a random couple the second one had loads of letters left. But how about if you remove 3 Es etc etc.

I see what you mean but where to remove them from I wonder? There are 13 E's in the diamonds but in one diamond the letter E appears 3 times (q) - that could be something....

I'm still missing some of the diamond pictures (mid letter ones). Not that I think it'll help me! :D

There are no X or Z in any of the diamonds

The numbers don't go higher than 7, and there are 25 letters in each diamond, so I don't think there can be a direct correlation.

I did assume that each diamond would give us a single letter to be used, and substituted in the cypher, but no idea of how to "solve" the diamond.

There's 5 Ts in diamond y. If you find the right diamond for the number of letters and pot them in order does it spell something?

Oh no. Cos no Xs and Zs. Back to drawing board.

Danny the ones from 16.48 are only showing on the app for some reason. I did repost them at 16.51 and people seem to be able to see them on their laptops.

Could we be looking for a much longer phrase? Although it doesn't fit the rest of the quiz. So, 3x the letter from the E diamond, 4x the letter from the Z diamond etc.? It would be very long, though.

Password could be a sentence but unlikely to be much longer than the ones we've had previously

I wonder why the digits in the code string along the top of the page are 1-7 only?

Maybe the password is a phrase with 7 words in?

Is it true to state that all previous elements of this quiz have been in entertainment; films, books, music etc..? If so, does it help to try and focus on this subject again? It doesn't help me, obviously. I'm going to see if a glass of red wine gives me inspiration!

Which means the 6th word is 1 letter long, so A or I (from diamond L?)

What if you look for the diamonds that have the exact number of letters? So the diamond that has just 3R's, 4Z's ,5 T's etc and see if the letters mean something.

I'm trying to do this now but it's a pain on the phone.
