Chippy tea - what's your order?

Sat on DS2s floor waiting for him to go to sleep and thinking of the chippy tea I'll be having shortly but can't decide what I want. Inspire me with your favourites!

Small cod & chips with loads of vinigar, pickled onion, bread & butter for chip butty, can of proper coke.

Fish barm, extra salt and vinegar please

Either - mini fish, cockles and cone of chips, or pineapple fritter and come off chips. Yum.

I've had my dinner and now want a chippy.

Fish supper with salt and sauce (east Scotland thing). No s&v here.

Cod and small chips, salt, curry sauce and a can of coke

Also, I need to be walking along the front at Blackpool, in the freezing wind to really enjoy it

Scampi, chips and peas for me with tons of vinegar. Just fish & chips for DH - no condiments.

Either a small fish or a sausage in batter in a tray with chips and gravy. Well lush!

Yorkshire fish cake (fish between slices of potatoes in batter), chips and scraps, salt but no vinegar.

Chips, butter pie and mushy peas. Load of ketchup on the side and some well buttered white toastie bread for making a chip butty.

I like battered chicken goujons supper, garlic Mayo and a half portion of battered mushrooms and/or onion rings.

You can't beat a pastie supper sometimes though.

For those who care I've gone with a battered sausage and chip butty with curry sauce. And it's got to be a can of cloudy lemonade!

@whoami24601 butter pie is a magnificent Lancashire invention. It is a pie filled with potato, butter and onion. It is a carb coma. It will keep you warm inside for many hours. Delish!

Cod, chips and peas with no S&V. Chippies use cheap ‘non-brewed condiment’ instead of proper malt vinegar, so I wait until I get home then add ground sea-salt & Sarson’s.

Oh god I HATE malt vinegar!

Such a disappointment when it's all a chippy has! I almost cried splashing it all over one day before realising it wasn't "proper" vinegar (ie non brewed condiment).

To answer OP, cod and chips with batter (scraps) and loads of salt and vinegar! And curry sauce!

@whoami24601 I think you would only just need to get over the border tbh. Todmorden maybe, or Barnoldswick if you're a bit further up. Eat butter pie and chips on the prom at Morecambe. Underrated!
