Another thousand posts filled and we're ploughing on through another weekend of squelching through parks before we hit the Long Dark Teatime of the Soul.

The AD chat continues...

Good god, Bojo really does think he's bloody Churchill doesn't he?

DominaShantotto · 23/11/2020 19:11

Working on the assumption we'll be tier 3-ed - but having read it all - at least the kids' clubs can go on and I can get my hair done. My expectations are so low now that this is my tolerance level.

"Not just the season to be Jolly, also the season to be jolly careful"

Have a fucking word with yourself you absolute plank.

MercyBooth · 23/11/2020 19:18

I wonder how many who are advocating people spend Christmas on their own away from their families (they can pontificate about bubbles as much as they like but people WILL end up on their own) will sacrifice 8 hours of their own Christmas Day to volunteer for the Samaritans who normally receive 11"000 calls on Christmas Day in non Covid years. (400"000 calls in the whole of December alone) I bet i could count how many of them would.......on one hand!!

Doubt you'd need to do much counting. For them, this is performance. Pretending you give a shit about anyone but yourself in a way that doesn't affect your life at all or makes your life easier.
LivinLaVidaLoki · 23/11/2020 19:25

A friend of mine just posted
"I think I'm a bit in love with Chris Whitty" on twitter.
I just replied "Strange, never had you down as a masochist"
Countdown to getting blocked starts in 3....2........

MercyBooth · 23/11/2020 19:29

"Squeeze the disease"
🤦‍♀️

Funkypolar · 23/11/2020 19:42

The people over on the CV forum are wetting themselves with glee hoping the Covid vaccination is mandatory and people refusing the vaccine should be locked away.

MercyBooth · 23/11/2020 19:46

It doesnt reflect well on MN IMO.

Funkypolar · 23/11/2020 19:46

It’s all very well Qantas insisting on vaccinations but as Australia is closed until 2022 they will probably no longer be operating then. Grin

Plus the new Green Agenda means that air travel will probably be very expensive and discouraged for the ordinary person.

Whoooootaminute · 23/11/2020 19:48

Had a busy few days decorating. Hard work but have had no time to worry about current affairs. Quite a relief.

That Jesus picture is dreadful. On many levels Grin

I believe "Thundercunt" is a popular description currently.
LivinLaVidaLoki · 23/11/2020 19:57

@RobinHobb yes. He said that.

RobinHobb · 23/11/2020 19:59

I mean...
Ffs.
I really have no words

bakingcupcakes · 23/11/2020 20:08

'Don't ruin it by overdoing it'

I have no words.

I can't read anymore.

LivinLaVidaLoki · 23/11/2020 20:10

Does he not get anyone to proof read this shit?

MercyBooth · 23/11/2020 20:13

Doubt it. Cummings is gone.

TheOrchidKiller · 23/11/2020 20:14

"Squeeze the disease"
That has conjured up an image worse than a giant Jesus doctor.
Is it not what you'd do with a massive zit?

wanderings · 23/11/2020 20:25

"Squeeeeeeeeeeze the diseeeeeeeeeeeeease": I refused to watch it. Did he drag out the eeeeeeeees, like he did in August?
"Jolly Careful". Did Enid Blyton come back from the dead to write his speech? She loved the word "jolly", but she would have written the rest of his speech better.

Lockdown Sceptics also says that even in Japan, the highly conformist society which has adored the face mask for a long time, there are anti-mask protests, and banners saying "corona is a farce".

wanderings · 23/11/2020 20:35

Assuming Saint Boris the clown and his merry men actually see through the lifting of restrictions that they have said on 2nd December (nothing is certain until then), it might the first time ever that he has kept his word about something. It might even restore the tiniest degree of trust in government!

DrDiva · 23/11/2020 20:38

I’m likely to be in tiger 3

Yes it does rather feel like being slowly eaten by one at present, doesn’t it? 🐅
