Another thousand posts filled and we're ploughing on through another weekend of squelching through parks before we hit the Long Dark Teatime of the Soul.

The AD chat continues...

@Blobby10

I guess boris has kept his 'promise' that we would definitely come out of lockdown on 2nd December - they've just kept us in lockdown under another name Sad.

He said if we followed The Roolz then we would be out of lockdown - I have done. My family has done. So why are we still being punished? The longer this goes on, the more it seems to be a test to see how far the Govt can push the people of the country .

Putting me in tier 3 for using my friend's toilet for 3 minutes is a tad of an overreaction Wink

In Tier 2 here, along with most of the South West, which is going to be a bit of a shock for many as we've been used to being the safer part of the country. Our rates have gone up, but aren't in the same ballpark as many other places and also seemed to be starting to come down. I've already started to see posts on local facebook saying if "we" all pull together the rates will come down, and we'll get back to Tier 1. I've mentally drafted several very cross replies, and have decided to stay off local facebook for the next few hours.

A nursing home near us this month 15 dead 56 infected, 33 staff. that is 104 people in one building. Why, well the hospital are still refusing to covid test people on exit. Now colour me stupid but that cannot be the only hospital in the UK doing this???

MargosKaftan · 26/11/2020 13:44

We went into lockdown in tier 1, we are now in tier 3. Our town's no of cases per 100,000 is 160, below the national average of 169. How are we tier 3?

Blobby10 · 26/11/2020 13:52

*@BogRollBOGOF * ah-ha!! So its your fault is it?!!!! 😂😂😂 surely you just KNOW how much virus you can shed in those 3 minutes?!! 😂😂😂

On a slightly lighter note - I ventured onto That Board earlier and there was something about a dog's fur holding onto coronavirus so you shouldn't pet other people's dogs. Is this another "If a runner passes me and pants then I will catch covid" thing? Or is there an element of truth in it? Just curious......

hohohopeless · 26/11/2020 13:55

Tier 3 here as from next week.

Ugh.

Pleasenomoreglitter · 26/11/2020 14:00

We were tier 1 prior to lockdown. Our rates have decreased and now we're tier 3!! I just have no words left.

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 26/11/2020 14:05

We're supposed to be going away next weekend, both areas are tier 2 so that means we can go doesn't it? I don't care if we have to have takeaways all weekend, I just want to see the sea!

(I'm asking here as you lot won't accuse me of deliberately spreading anything!)

rosettesforjill · 26/11/2020 14:07

We're tier 2, but Santa is in tier 3... wonder if they'll let us see him?

Orangeblossom7777 · 26/11/2020 14:08

Yes it seems 2 can go to 2 on holiday.

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 26/11/2020 14:12

Thanks @Orangeblossom7777 and for not telling me how shallow I am to want to go away!

FeelsLikeGroundhogDay · 26/11/2020 14:16

Tier 2 for us but lots of angry comments on the local fb page raging that it should be tier 3 to keep us all safe Confused

ISaySteadyOn · 26/11/2020 14:30

Offs, can't people keep themselves safe anymore?
Clearly not Hmm

NeedWineNow · 26/11/2020 14:31

From Tier 1 to Tier 3 because of this country-wide restriction even though we live in one of the area with the lowest rate. Absolutely fed up with this now. Still suppose it's easier for them to do that rather than sort it out properly Angry

NeedWineNow · 26/11/2020 14:31

Oops meant county-wide....

Willow2017 · 26/11/2020 14:41

@Orangeblossom7777

I'm not allowed to travel to Scotland though even though in 2. Due to Nicola. I think Confused
But its ok for Xmas for certain days but you have to be gone by 27th! Confused? You wont be, tune in tomorrow for more "guidelines" noise coming out of NS arse
Willow2017 · 26/11/2020 14:48

Our cafes wont be opening next week now thanks that shower of shits not lowering the tier. More endless bloody cleaning or standing at the front door for 7hrs straight NOT controlling the hoards coming in because there arent any! So its just standing freezing saying hello eleventy million times to customers. What a waste of time. And the fact that standing there 7hrs is fecking torture and should be split up between staff on rotation isnt something work will consider, they just want us doing something for our cut to the bone wages. 😠

Do you know what the figures are?

I’m baffled by this, 1 to 3 is a hell of a jump.

MissEWeatherwax · 26/11/2020 15:00

I just had a good cry, but I don’t feel any better.
I can’t do this anymore. I have a permanent headache for weeks. Even if I could get a telephone consultation, they will just say stress and anxiety. Plus knowing my luck, I will be given a day when I’m at work! And I can’t answer my own phone at work, because I’m already answering phones.

Orangeblossom7777 · 26/11/2020 15:19

I so want to go away too Pink

Not sure if can even face trying to get too and from Scotland from the SW though. I can't drive and trains may be very busy and expensive I expect.

My dad is in sheltered housing as well which does have visitor accommodation but don't think that would be a good plan right now. It's also central belt so not sure if the B and B I have stayed in before above the little pub would be open.

MissEWeatherwax · 26/11/2020 15:34

[flowers]@AcornAutumn, I haven’t quarantined them mind.
[flowers]@LivinLaVidaLoki, I haven’t quarantined yours either.
Thanks for the hugs. Good job I can’t have visitors because I looked a right sight, my eyes are still sore and feel gritty.
But I have spoken to my DP’s and we are visiting Christmas Day, then they are going to my Dsis for the rest of the day. We always have Christmas lunch just us. So no different. I don’t normally drink much, but I’m going to try and be drunk after lunch.

Orangeblossom7777 · 26/11/2020 15:34

Tearful here on and off today as well. It seems there is a vote on this next week...just seen this..

'Boris Johnson is facing a massive Tory backlash over new plans to place much of the country under the highest restrictions after a month of national lockdown.

Sir Graham Brady, Tobias Ellwood and Sir Robert Syms are among those planning to vote against the Government next week, with the 1922 Committee chairman blasting the "authoritarian" measures."

Thing is Labour will vote for it so it will happen

Pleasenomoreglitter · 26/11/2020 15:34

@AcornAutumn just over 200 where I am, higher elsewhere in the county. But it was closer to 300/100,000 prior to lockdown, so it's really dropped!
