Eggy Thank you - I thought chicks were older.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 10/11/2020 17:50

I will try and get a turtle photo for you later, perhaps not as good as a cat photo but still cute. DS brought him home because his owner (cousin of a friend) didn't want him anymore. His terrarium or aquarium or whatever had broken so he was living in a plastic storage box. DS tried to hide him because he knew if he asked I'd say 'no', so he was here for two days before I was aware of him. In the tradition of parents and pets that they never wanted, I now love him. Grin

Have a dog photo in the meantime.

A lot of gorgeous animals on here 😍

My girl decided to help me dispose of the junk mail today. 😁

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 10/11/2020 17:53

Sorry, meant to add the photo. Previous post doesn't make much sense without it!

Prok Thanks - baby chickens are called chicks. These were pullets when we got them which is a female under 1, we got them at 6 months. They are soft, some people keep them inside and they can be cuddly but we have a cat and a rabbit indoors already.

Love all the animal pictures.

SilkieRabbits · 10/11/2020 17:58

Our rabbit eats the mail, you have to get it quick though its normally corners, he also eats textbooks.

Frownette · 10/11/2020 18:03

Silkie where do the chicks go to the loo if they're indoors?

SilkieRabbits · 10/11/2020 18:09

I think you can get them a litter tray and try and train them but its a bit hit and miss, another reason ours are outside. Though I'm sure DS would love to have one sitting on him. Atm though its his rabbit that does that a lot.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 10/11/2020 18:10

Silkie Pullet that would be the same root as poularde but a very different though chicken related meaning. (I love words).

The only animal fotos I have to offer a of spiders - I like them and let them stay in our flat - but I won't show them.

SilkieRabbits · 10/11/2020 18:19

They have tiny eggs about half normal sized eggs.

No cute photos here! Animal free zone but free range children aplenty...

Left work less than 10 minutes after official clocking-off time, which is a record! Celebrating by cleaning the bathrooms.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 10/11/2020 18:37

Your way of celebrating is interesting! Perhaps this is too exciting and you should calm down and do - what is the new word I learned today: skirting boards - instead.

Helocariad · 10/11/2020 18:45

I eco-cleaned the drum of our washing machine today, how's that for dull and unexciting 😁?

Helocariad · 10/11/2020 18:45

Love the animal pics BTW 😍

AdoraBell · 10/11/2020 20:42

I went for a walk to try to ease muscle spasm in my lower back. Works wonders, while I’m walking. Picked up a few bits in Boots.

Also loving the animal pics. We had Labrador puppies years ago. I had to take a scrap of paper to an office to reissue a bill. I knew it was my bill because the teeny tiny scrap had my first initial.

Squirrel26 · 10/11/2020 20:47

The dog was lying on me, but I sneezed and so he jumped off and is now looking at me in disgust.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 10/11/2020 21:11

squirrel how could you Smile
DD once was late for a meeting at school bc. the cat was sleeping on her leg, and you can't wake the cat, can you?

Thighdentitycrisis · 10/11/2020 21:21

My new knickers are ready to collect at M&S

TenCornMaidens · 10/11/2020 21:22

Forgot to update you. My spinach, mushroom and feta omelette (with a dash of nutmeg) was nice.

Salmon, broccoli and celeriac for dinner.

Frownette · 10/11/2020 21:36

@Champagneforeveryone

Pffft.

The patient has a temperature so has had a COVID test this afternoon. Now comes the wait for results - if that's not dull then I don't know what is Hmm

We're also waiting, results should be through tomorrow. On a selfish note I hope relative's are negative as otherwise I'd have to do one too!

I've got a sensitive gag reflex so no idea how I'd be able to get the thing down my throat. Nose bit would be fine.

Frownette · 10/11/2020 22:26

I was asked to get a takeaway mocha earlier so deliberately picked up a few wooden spatula thingys so I can practice holding down my tongue and getting to my tonsils if I have to do the test, without jaw clamping.

So it's supposed to be throat first, then nose. Why aren't they satisfied with the nose???

Really hope relative is negative

nancybotwinbloom · 10/11/2020 22:30

My shepherds pie was fucked
The army guy who did my vivid test was super fucking hot

nancybotwinbloom · 10/11/2020 22:30

Covid

Frownette · 10/11/2020 23:13

@nancybotwinbloom

Covid
Oh you've done this already? Are you based in L'pool?

Did he do it throat then nose? When should you get results?

At least he distracted you by being super fit, however!

Frownette · 10/11/2020 23:14

It's not the end of the world if you get it, majority of people have it mildly/no consequence.
