Good. His arrogance and refusal to apologise (ever, for anything) has come back to bite him.

Well actually it was Starmer that wiped out Labour in the last election with his BREXIT ref 2

That’s not what Labour activists who went knocking on doors said. They said Corbyn was toxic.

bbbbbbbbbccccc · 30/10/2020 00:11

Yes do read the report and you will find a fair representation that does not uphold claims that labour was particularly antisemitic under Corbyn's leadership.

MrsNotNice · 30/10/2020 00:12

You mean, SOME labour activists?

I’m pretty sure I know a few who think he is a bloody legend.

Don’t speak for us.

Indeed, but it was the people in the houses complaining he was toxic that didn’t vote for him, wasn’t it?

bbbbbbbbbccccc · 30/10/2020 00:13

Well its what happened. Starmer misjudged the BREXIT stance and went down the Ref 2 route to pacify the anti BREXIT voters. As a result lost the will of Red Wall voters. As if they are going to find Sir Kier Starmer to be in any way appealing.

colouringindoors · 30/10/2020 00:14

Good news. Unpleasant, patronising and arrogant imho.

noblegiraffe · 30/10/2020 00:17

Starmer misjudged the BREXIT stance

Corbyn was ultimately responsible for Labour’s embarrassing lack of coherent Brexit position.

bbbbbbbbbccccc · 30/10/2020 00:18

Unfortunately many people read the Daily Mail and The Sun and watch the BBC news These media outlets reported Corbyn's Socialism as a threat because it challenges the rule of the Elite the very people bankrolling our media. Its not surprising that some people believed the right wing party line being forced down their throats. But Starmer didn't help. He completely misjudged the mood of the country with the Ref 2 for BREXIT and dodged accountability.

noblegiraffe · 30/10/2020 00:19

Good grief.

bbbbbbbbbccccc · 30/10/2020 00:20

indeed Starmer is patronising, arrogant and authoritarian

bbbbbbbbbccccc · 30/10/2020 00:22

Good grief indeed. Stuck with Starmer. May as well vote Tory.

noblegiraffe · 30/10/2020 00:22

No mate, I mean you’re posting bollocks.

Nothing Corbyn ever does is Corbyn’s fault is it? Even when he is leader of the party, whatever happens on his watch isn’t anything to do with him.

This, this, this.
BrimfulOfBaba · 30/10/2020 00:24

There is plenty of reasoned discourse about why the "nothing is ever his fault" narrative is simplistic and foolish here, but you don't seem to want to engage in any of it.

bbbbbbbbbccccc · 30/10/2020 00:26

By the way I can pick through the examples you have chosen as being 'antisemitic' noble giraffe, but it would still be my representation against your representation of incidents reported in mainly right wing rags. The EHRC report is fair and factual. So that is a much better choice of reading material for those who want to look into the matter more closely.

noblegiraffe · 30/10/2020 00:26

Because derailing the thread with comments about Tory Islamophobia didn’t work, it’s now about how awful Starmer is.

Not about how Corbyn has just got himself suspended from the party he was leader of last year by minimising the damning EHRC report into antisemitism in Labour which was released today.

bbbbbbbbbccccc · 30/10/2020 00:26

He didn't minimise he stated facts noble giraffe.

noblegiraffe · 30/10/2020 00:29

but it would still be my representation against your representation of incidents

Or things which there are photos and screenshots of or which are well-documented.
It must be weird to have so many anti-Semitic things happening in your life that need explaining away, yet it keeps happening to poor Jeremy. Baffling.

Totally agree

Absolutely.

Cultivating fear within the Jewish communities and using the media to play on the vulnerabilities of those who have suffered historic trauma is a disturbing way to further the agenda in my honest opinion. It is not kind to the Jewish community who are being used as a tool here.

And it’s not very honest to the public who are being driven by a sense of false Obligation and Guilt instead of being given bloody facts for a real chance of contribution.

FOG they call it on Mumsnet. And we are playing into the hands of the narcissist racist conservative leaderships who are manipulating everyone.

Let’s not be mugs.

ClaireP20 · 30/10/2020 00:34

@Devilesko

Hope it comes back the same for Gove, Patel and Johnson, they are more racist than Corbyn was an anti semite. I guess conservatives are allowed to be overtly racist. One rule for the rich again, say what they want and get away with it. They are all as bad, some become the fall guy, others get away with it, depending on the party.
I'm not sure Boris Johnson said anything racist, unless I am mistaken. If you are talking about 'letter box' comment, that was about an item of clothing brought in by the Taliban to suppress women. Nothing to do specifically with Islam as a religion. If you knew the brutal lashings carried out on women and young girls by the Taliban Police in Afghanistan, you would understand that it is not wrong to speak against them and what they represent. Many Muslim women are also against the wearing of the Niqab. On the issue of JC, clearly Kier Starmer's aim is to remove the far left element of the Labour Party, which moderate left supporters, such as myself, have struggled with.
Chocaholic9 · 30/10/2020 00:34

Good. There should be no room for anti-semitists in the party. Very disappointing it took them so long.

bbbbbbbbbccccc · 30/10/2020 00:34
