Does anyone remember Handbag.com

It was probably early to mid 2000s? It was an online women's magazine site but most people used the forums? It was such a busy place, much like mumsnet with a variety of discussions. I used to love the personalised avatars (which helped recognise posters straight away) and enjoyed whiling away the hours at work on there even making some friends. This was all before social media so was my go to. Not sure why it died a death, it went from being a thriving women's chat site to being completely dead and now long gone. I wonder if there are any old handbaggers on here? ;)

I remember meeting Stewart on a number of occasions. He used to get pissed, fall asleep in his pint, then had to be escorted back to his hotel. There was also a very unpleasant incident which I won't go into, but people either felt sorry for him or angry wish him.

I never got the Lady Muck love. I thought she was up herself.

I am still Facebook friends with a couple of the CharlotteStreet girls. I have 'known' them for over 20 years and we feel that we have shared each other's lives despite never having actually met - their babies that were once on the 'Trying for a baby' and then the 'I'm pregnant' board are now at university.

I spite of some things, I miss handbag. There's still a Facebook group going strong with a bunch of ex baggers. The years have passed but it's nice to keep in touch.

Apart from the draw your own tiddy thread, the only other one that sticks in my head was lilys how do you wipe your backside one. It was tear squirting funny. When you just think there's one way.

You don't get daft threads like that anymore. They're all serious and snipey.

I remember Handbag, but didn’t discover forums till You And Your Wedding in the late 2000s, which I got hooked on till that one went tits up, and then moved to MN.

I bumped into another former YAYW user on here a few years ago - I expect there are probably some others knocking around. There were some great characters on there.

I was a Bagger too, I remember Space Cowboy, who I thought was a pain but I don't remember the reason (never met him, just the forum version of him)

Purple/Fluffy yes! It’s a brilliant group, with lots of people you would remember. But I would understand if maybe it wouldn’t be for you. But you would be welcomed with open arms

@MagicoRomantico I’m still in contact with some of my baby world anti-natal group.
I still think that a lot of the online issues would be fixed if there wasn’t the level of anonimity allowed on sites today.
I only remember one troll who pretended her twins were born at 24 weeks and were only on C-CaP abc used stock photos. We just humoured her and another girl from Roundhay in Leeds.
I met up with some of them a few times - which seems bizarre now.

@underneaththeash in real life my brother got with a girl who faked being pregnant with twins. She faked the whole pregnancy then their deaths at the birth. Yes, really. 👀
