Does anyone remember Handbag.com

It was probably early to mid 2000s? It was an online women's magazine site but most people used the forums? It was such a busy place, much like mumsnet with a variety of discussions. I used to love the personalised avatars (which helped recognise posters straight away) and enjoyed whiling away the hours at work on there even making some friends. This was all before social media so was my go to. Not sure why it died a death, it went from being a thriving women's chat site to being completely dead and now long gone. I wonder if there are any old handbaggers on here? ;)

Aww, I was a bagger back in the day 👋 no-one would remember me though. Recognise a few names on here. I did meet up with one bagger, Perdy, who was lovely, but not kept in touch. I loved that you could be promoted in bags the more you posted, although I can only remember clutch bag for some reason.

Oh yeah - if you got banned you were labelled 'body bag' which caused a bit of a furore.

I am an old handbagger! Loved the chat and also wondered why it caved like that

@gamerchick Was it 2014, wow! She used to post lovely photos of things she'd baked. She still pops into my mind.

I know! I had to go and check. She was a lovely lady.

I was on there as Chick and spent a fair bit of time in the wedding and trying to conceive boards. I think Andie Pandie did indeed buy an oast house, whoever mentioned that. Also remember Skandia Babe who drove a truck. The Blonde had a hilarious blog that I used to really enjoy, she was very witty. Couldn’t abide Space Cowboy and his self appointed policeman role on a board for women, he would always jump in and pull people up for minor things and was really overbearing, but for some reason the women seemed to really like a man ruling the roost. Also Red Blonde was a bit of a cow as I recall, I’ve a feeling she and I crossed swords.
