In all honesty, the best scouse I've ever eaten isn't my mils but a friend of my df's.

He has a café on bold St called Maggie May's where he sells it. If you ever find yourself in Liverpool I'd highly recommend you try it.

I had to finish the box of Lindor on my desk because Sodding likes the rustly wrappers and kept sticking his head in the box to steal them for play. The next time he stuck his head in the empty box, it got stuck on his head. Very amusing.

I had to go for a COVID test today. Doing the throat swabs made me gag slightly. I hope this means I swabbed the right areas.

I just fetched lunch from the deli for DD and myself. She had a toasted salt bagel with peanut butter and jelly and I had a Philly Cheesesteak wedge. Actually, just half. It's quite big and I'll save half for tomorrow. And we shared an order of French Fries chips

We're still waiting for the HVAC bloke. I feel bad for him as it's raining pretty hard and some of his work will be outside. He's a lovely chap, and has been coming to do our work for years.

DH will be making pizza tonight, which is always a treat.

DH popped to the Coop for popcorn for me, before he went out for the evening. He's a good 'un.

Chips/Potatoe Chips are what we call crisps in the US. Pomme actually means apple in French. Potatoes are pomme de terre in French, or apple of the earth.

French fries in some regions (south) potatoes are not called Kartoffeln but Erdäpfel = pommes de terre.

DD finished the frosties after school but lucky DH saved the day and bought some more.

DS is very excited about the breadmaker saying bread-bread-bread mmmm bread-bread-bread and when DH said there wasn't space in the kitchen DS said I will make space for the breadmaker next to me.

DD is super excited school have said children can wear hoodies to keep warm over uniform.

Just read the covid change of uniform rules to DS. He thought it was hilarious that under the new rules you can wear a thermal vest, polo shirt, jumper, hoodie, blazer and coat all at the same time in class and said he wants to look as ridiculous as possible. He was concerned you are only allowed school trousers and he'ld be top-hot.
