Don't envy you with that chemical cocktail MissC but glad covid test is negative.

Dh has gone down to old house. DD is running a bath and singing to herself. Had chicken stew with dumplings and veg for lunch. Think DH is cooking Sunday roast dinner for dinner.

HelenaJustina · 25/10/2020 16:38

Indeed @Spudlet, not commonly read these days but v worth it!

SpeedofaSloth · 25/10/2020 19:05

I like the Phil Spector Christmas Album.

I put a string of Christmas lights up on the fireplace tonight to offset the early dark evening.

Helocariad · 25/10/2020 19:15

My daughter made savoury muffins this afternoon (cheddar) which were delicious 😋.

Champagneforeveryone · 25/10/2020 19:21

We have homemade pizza for dinner. I'm a new convert to baking and am thrilled by my amazing dough.
DH and DS are just thrilled to finally get it in the oven so they don't have to endure me peeking at it under its cloth and making gushing noises Grin

vanillandhoney · 25/10/2020 19:33

I put our new teddy bear bedding on the bed yesterday but forgot to order a fitted sheet. I ordered one today and it's arriving tomorrow.

HelloDulling · 25/10/2020 19:42

I’m making a chilli, and pondering the next week in Welsh lockdown. DD is now isolating, but DS and I will walk and get fresh air.

HelloDulling · 25/10/2020 19:43

AND I’ve ordered some new slippers.

forgetthehousework · 25/10/2020 21:10

Sorted the DVDs this afternoon, so now we may be able to find the one we want to watch instead of wasting half an hour searching then settling for something else.

SpeedofaSloth · 25/10/2020 21:10

I would like some new slippers.

Nydj · 25/10/2020 22:21

The curry I made for dinner was a bit too hot (spices not temp) so I added some more potatoes which I boiled in the microwave and little bit of coconut milk. The curry was then ok to eat.

stillsomewhatsheldonesque · 25/10/2020 22:30

I caught the bus home tonight.

I believe the wheels went round and round.

soddingkitten · 25/10/2020 22:53

I’m weighing up whether to go to bed now, taking into account the time change and how late it really is, or to power through.

There’s an open box of Celebrations hidden but in reach. The children haven’t found my hiding place yet. I’m trying to make them last for half term and stop the kids from plundering the stash in a day. I should check on them and have one for quality control, right?

MissConductUS · 25/10/2020 23:03

I should check on them and have one for quality control, right?

I think it would be irresponsible not to. Grin

I've just got a cup of tea and bourbon biscuits.

thismeansnothing · 25/10/2020 23:19

I work nights. I thought with the clocks going back we'd finish at normal time and just have to suck up doing the extra hour. We infact had the choice of doing our contracted hours and going home "an hour early" according the the clock. Or doing the extra hour with pay. I went home 😂

EggyPegg · 26/10/2020 00:23

I started a book last night, and finished it tonight. It made me cry.

DH and I are catching up on two episodes of Gogglebox. He refused to watch a turkey being wanked. Squeamish sod.

EggyPegg · 26/10/2020 00:25

Also. I'm in the cats spot on the sofa. After spending evening moaning about it and bouncing around the many other chairs in here, she's squeezed in between us.

I've just been to fetch the milk in and the stars are fantastic Star

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 26/10/2020 06:49

Woke up feeling nauseous (at 6 am) - called in sick at work.
This will probably (hopefully only) turn into another migraine. Luckily there is nothing due at work that can't wait.

PompeyBez · 26/10/2020 07:01

Good morning. First day of half term here and delightful DS was awake at 5.15am. He insisted that he be measured upon getting up and I can confirm that he is 1.45m tall. He is 7 if that makes a difference. I am holding steady at 1.75m Grin

Frownette · 26/10/2020 08:34

Good news about little sodding, bless their furry paws.

I like your supermarket retort, @MissConductUS!

We were all at sixes and sevens this morning, I was up quite early and dithered about whether to wake housemate up as he was due to start work earlier than normal.

Then I left the house and shut the front door. Then realised I needed the loo so went back in, left again and shut the front door. Then realised I'd forgotten my face mask so went back in.

(Requirements were dull and uninteresting, right?)

Frownette · 26/10/2020 09:21

Ah no, hope it clears up with a bit of rest.

I did notice the stars were very bright @BefuddledPerson

Imissmoominmama · 26/10/2020 09:26

Someone pinched one of our bottles of milk from by the gate. I hope they really needed it and it wasn’t just a chancer.

Taswama · 26/10/2020 10:25

Dc got their own breakfast thus morning. DS1 asked where the croissants were. Later I found an empty popcorn packet in the bin.
