If you allow people to act in the way several of them behaved, allowing them to get steadily worse as time went on, whilst being heavy handed with others, don't be at all surprised that when you finally realise via the police getting in touch and attempt to do something of merit only down to that that they will turn on you.

It's obvious! There should have been a firm hand not a "oh you're a name to make us look good that you've graced us with your membership" attitude, compared to "oh you're not a well known banned member so I'm going to make an example of you".

Literally a case of how not to run a forum right there.

Threads evolve. Reddit was mentioned earlier, where there is a public sub that targets those who post on here, that arranges pile ons and is very unpleasant about mnhq. It would seem ironic that some who post there and here are looking down their noses on mc, a site just like their own!

Who though? Not me, that's for sure, I've had enough trolling to last me a lifetime. First and I hope last time it happens for me

I see. Thanks for the explanation. Somehow it doesn't surprise me that the worst offenders on MC have also been unpleasant elsewhere.

You and your "friend" are sounding very similar indeed. She kept saying bore off when people stated they were upset over her "humour".

I was on mn before mc. I continued to use both sites throughout and will continue to use mn. You have no more right to use mn than me just because I spent some time on an alternative site. It's you that is showing nastiness here not me.

is this where the pile ons come from? I've noticed it sometimes, and wondered if there were lots of private messages going on about particular people.
Didn't include me so kept trunky out.

Including the one who was “Banned“. Clearly Admin had issues with her. Imagine being on Reddit. That is a mess and impossible to navigate.

Yes we've disagreed about H&M but you've always been very polite about it as I hope have I. No I haven't ever posted about you or any other mumsnetters on mc.

No I'm not berating anyone for not pulling up reddit shite for what they do, I'm pointing the finger at the posters on this thread (and they know who they are as do I), who join in the vile targeted crap on reddit yet are wibbling on about mc on here.
