If he was a decent person I'd be wishing him well. He's not. I'm not.

Given that Trump

  • dictated his Medical Assessment to his Medical Doctor at the time of the last presidential election, which stated he would be the most health US President ever,
  • decided to give his "expert medical advice" that people just need to ingest Dettol as a treatment for CV19
  • stated that he was already taking a treatment for malaria to protect him from CV19 and it was absolutely great.

it is clear that his mindset is to dictate to the medical profession what drugs and concoctions they should administer to him. You can imagine him banging his fist on the table and demanding them "Get me better NOW! Whatever it takes!" They are pumping him with a cocktail of chemicals, because he's the expert. Therein madness lies....

healthy

Dr Dooley didn’t look/sound so well at the press conference today.

Lolaloveslemonade · 06/10/2020 06:20

‘Maybe I’m immune’

WTF

Roussette · 06/10/2020 07:21

This tweet sums it up for me....

'I don’t think “wheezing orange mask-less man on a balcony” is quite the propaganda piece they were going for'

oakleaffy · 06/10/2020 08:07

@Lolaloveslemonade

‘Maybe I’m immune’

WTF

I couldn't believe what I heard.....

Biology couldn't be his strong point.

Immunity to Covid isn't a known factor, yet?

Could be like Norovirus. Where Immunity is short {months}.

middleager · 06/10/2020 08:42

He's going to be even more insufferable now.

oakleaffy · 06/10/2020 08:45

Urgh. With knobs on.

But surely he isn't 'Out of the woods' yet?

I thought it could get more severe after a week or so?

Echobelly · 06/10/2020 08:50

I think it is too early to say - give it another 5-7 days. I don't think he'll die but by (I"m sure) ignoring the doctors and trying to be the strongman it's possible he's setting himself up for long-term debilitation. That would be perfect karma for a man who thinks illness is a weakness.

@daisychain01 - I think you're spot on. He's terrified of illness, he doubtless had a tantrum demanding anything to make him better 'now' regardless of consequences. I have a horrible, queasy feeling he could get away with it simply because he has the best medical care on hand (although he is obviously prepared to ignore them), but I'm hopeful that his doubtless actually rubbish health baseline will count against him here.

middleager · 06/10/2020 08:50

Oak Just watched a US news report where they said his doctor will only breathe a sigh of relief next Monday, as Trump is not out of the woods, only 3 days into this.

Boris Johnson appeared to be "fighting it" Hmm and then look what happened.

52andblue · 06/10/2020 10:17

I agree, he is not 'out of the woods' yet.
And pushing for experimental drugs, doing drive by's, and returning to work too soon are risky things to do at that age before you are all clear.

Darker · 06/10/2020 13:42

He’s out of bed.

I’m all his Tweeting and speeching, has he mentioned his wife at all?

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 06/10/2020 18:24

I don't think he's heard of 'pride comes before a fall'
As his doctors say 'he's not out of the woods yet'

I think he is and i also think he'll win the election too or enough votes for it to be contested and end up in the SC.

His illness has completely drawn the sting from the Bidon camp on Trumps handling of CV-19, DT can now say he has had CV, been to the CV school and he "Gets it"... unlike Sleepy Joe!

Clinton often had opinion poll leads but come election day she lost.

It depends on how long ago he actually became ill. We've known about it for 3 days, but it's possible he's been covering up for a while.
bumhead · 06/10/2020 19:54

I feel almost depressed after watching the ridiculous video he put up of him 'returning from hospital'. Where is his wife? He's going to be even more dangerous if he has actually beaten it. That's if he ever even had it...I hate him so much

CherryValanc · 07/10/2020 08:14

@Darker

Don't think so (admittedly not seem all his tweets).

If he hadn't it suggests to me he's actually ill. If he was faking it (so he could recover at a miraculous speed) he would be mention his wife (and others in the WH who 'have' it so that it could be seen they all are miracle cases and Covid-19 is nothing.

As it happens he hasn't mentioned anyone, as he's fully focused on him being ill. Aren't narsacist generally hypercondriacts (in an angry way) and when actually ill, spend all their focus and energy on how tough they are to manage.

Darker · 07/10/2020 08:45

I bet Melania has noticed.
