If he was a decent person I'd be wishing him well. He's not. I'm not.

I don’t believe a word of it.
He tweeted today.
Maybe they’ve ‘disinfected’ him.

My god that Twitter feed was depressing (and indicative of where America is heading).

Maybe it's related to their Puritan ancestors, but religion as a form of control positively flourishes there; blinding them to the obvious.

Glotta
I had to stop reading. Too depressing for words...

@Hmmph

A different conspiracy angle: You have to wonder why he has gone public with his positive Covid test too. Because if he’s asymptotic and positive, he could have easily covered it up and carried on. He apparently doesn’t think it’s anything to worry about and clearly doesn’t care about it spreading. He has no symptoms. No one would ever know and he could keep up the strong man invincible to Covid appearance.

So it must suit him to make it known that he has tested positive.

+no presidential debate
+the sympathy vote
+possible attempts to postpone/stop the election

I have been wondering more about this, especially with the going to hospital so suddenly...

Is it possible that he tested positive a few days before and WAS covering it up. Then he started getting symptoms so they had to rush out this narrative. To go from completely fine and asymptotic and only knowing you have Covid because of a routine test (which happens apparently every day so if true we would assume was negative on Thursday) to in hospital in 16 hours seems a very sudden development, even when it’s a president who they are taking “every precaution” with.

It’s a very fishy timetable if it’s true at all.

turnitonagain · 03/10/2020 08:44

There was previous debate on whether or not he’s at high risk. According to the New York Times who say he’s on cholesterol medicines already:

“As is the case with all Covid-19 patients, Mr. Trump’s overall health will make a difference in how he fares. Data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that about 64.7 percent of Covid-19 patients with underlying health conditions in his age group have required hospitalization, and 31.7 percent have died.”

BruceAndNosh · 03/10/2020 09:39

They most probably took the decision that it looked better for him to be seen walking to hospital transport now rather than on a gurney next week.

middleager · 03/10/2020 10:12

An article today 'How healthy is Trump?' looks at his health history. This includes the time he dictated his own doctor's note to say he would be the healthiest President the US had ever had!

If he gets back in to power I dont think it will be too long before the Trump - lovers have portraits of him in their homes, praying to him aka North Koreans, based on fear. They're being brainwashed by an undereducated bible-bashing misogynist who imports his wives.(they definitely received a different reception to Mexicans seeking genuine asylum).

Be careful what you ask for.

Aesopfable · 03/10/2020 10:45

Misogynist yes, Bible-bashing no. He had a photo call recently where he was given one to hold and it was like he had never seen a book before let alone a bible.

Sorry for quoting myself, but it would appear I may have been right. His doctor was talking about him being diagnosed 72 hours ago. So basically he’s been flying round the country spreading Covid. Idiot.

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 03/10/2020 17:30

Yep. From the Guardian:

If Dr Sean Conley was indeed correct when he said Trump had been diagnosed with Covid-19 sometime on Wednesday, the president (or people around him) knew he had the virus when:

He flew to Minnesota and attended an event in Minneapolis on Wednesday evening.
He flew back to Washington DC that night with staff on Air Force One
He left the White House at 1.15pm on Thursday to go to his golf club where he addressed donors outdoors, and met with other donors at an indoor roundtable. The father of one of those donors died of Covid-19 in spring.

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 03/10/2020 17:32

And now this....

A statement has been provided to pool reporters that contradicts Dr Sean Conley’s upbeat update on Trump’s health. It says the “the president’s vitals over the last 24 hours were very concerning and the next 48 hours will be critical in terms of his care. We’re still not on a clear path to a full recovery.”

The statement should be treated with caution as it is only attributed to “a source familiar with the president’s health” but it just adds to the confusion surrounding how ill Donald Trump is.

Hmmph · 03/10/2020 19:16

And another member of the medical team said 48 hours since he’d been given the experimental drug.

Definitely a dodgy timeline.

waterjungle · 03/10/2020 19:37

I sincerely hope he gets everything he deserves. Make of that what you will .......

KenAdams · 03/10/2020 20:22

His doctor skirting the oxygen question today was odd.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 03/10/2020 21:37

Well Trump being ill with Covid might make him have a Damascene conversion.
Though there's more chance of Putin opening/running a cat sanctuary & then joining a nunnery.
But stranger things have happened....

Darker · 03/10/2020 21:51

Daily Mail (apologies) reporting that DT was on oxygen at the WH and asking if he was going to die.

Gingernaut · 03/10/2020 22:08

On Twitter, a poster showed close ups of Trump walking to the helicopter.

Suspicious bulge in pocket, what looked like a cable, wire or tubing going up his back under his jacket and possible tubing in his mask.

Theory was a portable oxygen concentrator with resulting tubing and nasal cannulae.

The account which originally tweeted the theory has already been shut down

52andblue · 03/10/2020 22:18

@remainin

Being Trump, he'd be more likely to ride out his illness in the WH. Doing office work from the hospital doesn't sound convincing. I think his condition is more serious than he'd like people to believe.
Yes. Remember when we were told Johnson was 'sitting up in bed, doing paperwork in hospital' then we later found out he'd been on oxygen?
StealthPolarBear · 03/10/2020 22:55

Putin's Poorly Pussies

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 03/10/2020 23:05

😂😂😂

littledrummergirl · 03/10/2020 23:36

I've been wondering why there has been so little mention of the time line. I thought you were usually okish for a week with mild symptoms before either getting better or deteriorating. I'm confused as to how he has needed oxygen so close to when he first contracted it.
I bet he suspected that he was under the weather before the debate and ignored the symptoms.

Darker · 03/10/2020 23:41

I imagine DT had a +ve test and decided to crack on, thinking he would be asymptomatic and no one would need to know. He might have thought to announce that he had had the ‘China virus’ and it was nothing.
