Guess how much DH weighs

So I am going to add DH (with his permission!) to the Zoe app which is helping researchers track what’s going on with Covid in real time (you report whether you feel well/unwell every day).

However, to add him I need to state his weight and he hasn’t weighed himself in about 20 years. We don’t own scales. His trousers waist measurement is usually 32”/34”, and he’s about 5’9”/5’10” tall.

Anyone any idea? I literally don’t even have a ballpark idea of what an adult male of his build /height weighs!

Ok this afternoon for us desperate to know, but then again tomorrow morning for prizes!!!

I would say about 12.5 stone. My partner is about 11.5 stone. He is of similar height to your partner but he is a 30 inch waist so I would say definitely bigger than 11.5 stone - most likely around 12.5??

I'm going with 11st 10lb.

if it's not a morning weigh in and he going for a pub lunch I will add 2-3 lbs onto my guess.

OP, I think for fairness you need to declare if he takes a shit between now and weigh in

He looks very similar or a touch larger in build than my DH who weighs 74kg. My DH is a rugby player type physique, short and broad. He’s very fit but does still have a bit of a tummy despite doing about 8 hours intense exercise a week!

The results are in! First, some general supporting information:

• There were 159 guesses (cut off for inclusion was KrabbyPatties at 16:22)
• The most commonly guessed weight was around 12st 4lb/ 78kg with 21 guesses
• The second most commonly guessed weights were 11st 7lb / 73kg; 12st / 76kg; and 12st 2lb / 77kg, all with 16 guesses

Methodological background:

• All guesses were rounded up to a whole number if necessary

• Stones / pounds were all converted to kilos and rounded up if necessary

• The midpoint was taken of guesses with a range (eg "11 to 12 stone")

• There were two outlier guesses of 15 stone and 16 stone, which have not been included because they'd mess up the chart. Sorry - I don't make the rules! (Oh yes, actually I do ). There was also one guess of 950 Newtons, which appears to be 97kg, and is therefore disqualified on the basis that it appears to have been vexatious.

• St Bernard dogs appear to have a huge range of possible weights, so a St Bernard conversion was not possible. Trombone weight was taken as 1.84kg.

• I actually took him round the kind neighbour's house this morning, before the massive pub lunch, and before the weigh-in he had only eaten a normal breakfast and done a wee and a poo. So the earlier guesses should not have been impacted by large pub lunch.

Jesus christ at the pp on the first page saying he's got a significant belly. Like fuck has he!

And finally, here is his little cotton socks actually on the scales. They are a bit rusty on the outside, but Dualit brand, so I reckon very trustworthy. Grateful to LF (local friend) for the important part she played in the making of this thread.

Oh, and he weighs 40 trombones!
