Guess how much DH weighs

So I am going to add DH (with his permission!) to the Zoe app which is helping researchers track what’s going on with Covid in real time (you report whether you feel well/unwell every day).

However, to add him I need to state his weight and he hasn’t weighed himself in about 20 years. We don’t own scales. His trousers waist measurement is usually 32”/34”, and he’s about 5’9”/5’10” tall.

Anyone any idea? I literally don’t even have a ballpark idea of what an adult male of his build /height weighs!

Guess how much DH weighs
OP posts:
Hazelmazel · 12/09/2020 09:27

I'm the same height and waist as your DH, but considerably fatter. I'm 13 stone give or take and despite me being fatter I'm going to guess he's not far off that because men always seem denser. So I'll say 12 stone 10.5

MyDogSmells · 12/09/2020 09:29

My guess is 11 stone 7 based on his build being similar to my husband but a couple of inches taller. Hard to tell how big that stomach really is in the short though. Might be a bit more of the short is being quite forgiving.

ApolloandDaphne · 12/09/2020 09:31

Ohh I want in on this. I think he is 12st 8lb.

motorcyclenumptiness · 12/09/2020 09:34

He’s a music teacher, so if you could just convert to trombones, that would be very helpful, thank you.
That would be about 20 in trombones (assuming 8 trombones to the labrador)

Disorganisedfish · 12/09/2020 09:34

Oh I’m so pleased I’m in time to guess before the weigh in! I think 12 stone 4. Please may I have a photo of Patrick swayze in all his glory if I win?

Also, please tell your DH he can’t have a drink or eat until he’s been weighed. It’s the law of the early morning weigh in 🤷‍♀️

Newbracelet · 12/09/2020 09:34

12 stone 5.

riotlady · 12/09/2020 09:35

I reckon 11 stone 10

Cooltalkin · 12/09/2020 09:36

Ok he is 12 s 5lb my guess but as you wanted it as trombones and they are approx 4.5 lb he is .....
38.44 trombones !!!
Give or take a trombone as you must understand this is no way scientific ( disclaimer )

Hope I managed to get in before the big weigh in

morefun · 12/09/2020 09:39

I think he weighs 11st8.

GaraMedouar · 12/09/2020 09:40

I’m guessing 12 stone - give or take 13lbs either side!

Itsrainingnotmen · 12/09/2020 09:40

11st 3..
.. Prize of virtual cake is fine. 1 dh is plenty...

CatherinedeBourgh · 12/09/2020 09:40

Don’t know about trombones, but I think about 1/4 of a piano?

Newbracelet · 12/09/2020 09:41

There's trombones and trombones tbh.
Delicate old silver trombone with fancy engravings? Or chunky cheap workhorse that can stand a bit of a bashing? We need a standard measurement here!

IdblowJonSnow · 12/09/2020 09:41

11 stone ish

Jason118 · 12/09/2020 09:45

12 stone 5 lbs I'd say

CherryLicious · 12/09/2020 09:51

11 stone 4lbs

rc22 · 12/09/2020 09:51

I say somewhere around 11st.

oldmapie · 12/09/2020 09:52

@Wigeon

Good idea re the seesaw, apart from us but having a seesaw. Or 80 bags of flour. Hm. We do have one of those devices which you can dangle a holiday suitcase off, to see if it’s within your airline’s baggage allowance - do you think I could rig that up somehow? Maybe to the top of the climbing frame in the garden and dangle DH off it by his collar?
Please don't do this, you might damage his shirt and strangle your dh but you could try dangling him from his belt?! Grin
Stinkyguineapig · 12/09/2020 09:58

My guess is 11-11.5 stone. My DH is similar height/build. He always dramatises overestimates when he has put on weight and insists he will be over 13st. I am normally right (for my own DH) within a few pounds

utterlynutty · 12/09/2020 10:07

Similar build to my DH so I would guess somewhere between 11.5-12 stone

Floralnomad · 12/09/2020 10:12

I reckon 11stone 5 as he’s not particularly tall . I don’t want the prize I have my own bathroom cleaning /hoovering husband already .

Fingerbobs · 12/09/2020 10:19

74.5kg

giantangryrooster · 12/09/2020 10:22

I hope you give his weight in kg, pounds, stones, st. Bernards and pints. How is your dh at gardening?

chubbyhotchoc · 12/09/2020 10:50

13st

motorcyclenumptiness · 12/09/2020 11:15

I hope you give his weight in kg, pounds, stones, st. Bernards and pints
Seconded - I'm in it to win, this oven isn't going to clean itself
