DGD sat at a table in the local museum. Little boy at the next table talking to his Grandad.
"Your the greatest Grandad"
DGD turns to me a look of utter consternation on her face
"How can he be the greatest Grandad. My Grandad is"
😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

Not always as cute though.
Daddy putting her to bed and she's playing up. Mummy shouts through from the next room.
"Will you listen"
DGD looks at DS and raises one eyebrow.
"She's talking to you" she says

A few years ago I was on a train, sharing a table with a woman and her daughter, who was about 3.

The little girl was playing with Toy Story figures and she asked me to join in. She held them up and asked me their names.

Her: Who is this?
Me: Jessie.
Her: How do you know?
Me: Because her name is like mine. My name is Jess.
Her: but Jess is a BOY’S name.

That was me told! SadGrin

(I learned way too late in life that Postman Pat’s cat Jess is a boy, so maybe that’s what coloured her view of my inappropriate name Grin)

DS, aged five, said thoughtfully " I feel sorry for Nana, her face is a little bit crushed...." His Nana thought it was hilarious!

DD is 2 and has recently learnt "oh my god" and "bloody hell". We've had:

Took a bite out of a cheese roll and then immediately exclaimed "oh my God!". Guess it was really good?! Confused

Looking at the mess she'd made from eating breakfast and pointing out bits of it : "Bloody hell, what is that? Oh my god, what a mess!"

DH gave her a shock the other day and she took a big deep breath after and muttered to herself "bloody hell HerName" Grin

We have been careful with what we've been saying around her for months so I'm surprised she's learnt the 'bloody hell' tbh. I will just blame other kids at nursery Wink

Just heard "stop it B I'm not a rolling pin"

Dd2 was pushing ds3 over and over and he wasn't impressed!

Oh and in the car the other day...

Ds3 "mum my bloody shoe fell off again"

I really need to watch my language!

My almost 3 year old DS (copying me) shouts Jeezo all the time. We went to a car museum and he bellowed JEEZO at every single thing.

He’s dramatic too. He got a bit of bean juice on his top and started wailing COVERED IN BEANS.

My 7yo has informed me she's looking forward to giving her friends 'vertical hugs' today. I have established she means virtual hugs.
