It’s less whether I can be bothered to go and more about not losing money on holidays that we’ve booked that haven’t been cancelled. I’d much prefer both be cancelled, particularly dd’s but it doesn’t look like it at the moment.

Yeah it’s a pain. We were due to fly to Spain on Wednesday but the airline cancelled the flights. I was disappointed at the time but I’m glad now to be honest. Bastard Ryanair haven’t given us our money back though.

Truth be told I’m absolutely shitting myself about her going.

We're still fighting to get our money back from TAP. Other refunds have come in. It's frustrating how hard they make it and will influence who I book through in future. So far TripAdvisor excellent villa refunded without issue. Easyjet OK money received in less than the 3 months they promised. TAP dreadful unlikely to ever use again.

Going to need a new thread soon. Any ideas about a title? ADs form an escape committee?

Hmm! At eradication thats hardly following the science. As humans we have successfully eliminated 1 virus (Smallpox) in history. I doubt Covid 19 will be added to that list.

Just wondering instead of this lockdown. If they had said from day 1 wear a mask, if you dont you will be fined again and again or arrested, would that have been simpler and better than this drip drip effect of rules, guidelines, laws over the last 112 days.

4000 times (as it is approx 1 in 4000 that actually have the cold (sorry corona virus)

Not saying it's a cold for everyone but I suspect it will be. Common cold is a CV that would be fatal to some if we had no immunity.

Oh goodness, I just read this headline out and DS1 thumped the floor. Tried to explain that he would be exempt.

He's struggling to hold back the tears. All the struggles we've had to get him out of the house.

Even if he's exempt, he hates seeing them.

@Bakewelltarts I've been v slow to respond but the masks issue pisses me right off. I have not worn one at all so far and can't see the point now, after 16 weeks of being told it's not necessary. So, for me, having to wear one means less shopping not more. TBH that's probably a good thing as DH lost his job early in this shitshow and my (freelance) work has been erratic to say the least. But I like shopping and have done a little bit beyond what's strictly necessary. I bloody well won't if I have to wear a mask to do it.

Dd said I was cutting my nose off to spite my face. No. No I'm not. There's nothing I want so much that I'm prepared to wear a stupid mask to get it.
