5 ft 3, how much do you weigh?

Jula332 · 09/07/2020 12:00

After years of avoiding the scales out of the fear I would slip back into having a weight complex, I braved it today when visiting my osteopath.

I'm 10 stone and stand at 5 ft 3. My dress size ranges from 10-12 depending where I shop.

I'm not sure whether to be relieved or disappointed as whilst I haven't been at all careful about dieting or maintaining, I've heard a few people say how being within 8 stone is the ideal for somebody my height.

I'm not obese but am a bit flabby in some places. I think I look nice in clothes.

If you are 5 ft 3 or close to, how much do you weigh?

I am 5’3. GP says I should be around 8.5 stone but I would be happy with the 9 stone I was when I got married. I’m now just on 10 stone and size 10 or 12 depending on where I shop (I’ve got a silly big bust though so I think that’s where my weight lies).

Mmmmdanone · 09/07/2020 19:43

I'm 5'3" and nearly 10st. I wear 12-14 bottoms and 10-12 tops. Classic pear I guess! I like being nearer 9st.

amusedbush · 09/07/2020 19:46

5’ 4.5 so a bit taller but I’m currently 14 stone. A year ago I was 17st 4 so this is a vast improvement Blush I’m a size 14/16 and looking to get back into my size 12 clothes, which I wore when I was 12 stone. I seem to have concrete bones as people never believe me that I was a size 12 at 12 stone Grin

I was exercising a lot then though, I was very fit and toned.

TheMurk · 09/07/2020 19:48

Gosh I feel like a massive monster.

5ft 2 and I’m 12st 7.

I was 13st 7 at the start of the year.

Lightest I’ve ever been in adulthood is around 9st 7 but that was over 20 years ago.

If I could be under 11 I would be happy (but evidently still fat going by the rest of you on here!)

Temple29 · 09/07/2020 19:53

5’2” and 8 stone 3 when I was 12 weeks pregnant (I don’t weigh myself except for medical appointments). Currently 31+4 weeks and would rather not know my current weight!

fayebebaby · 09/07/2020 19:56

5ft 3 and almost 11 stone. I’m 55 and can’t seem to shift it. Ideally I’d like to be 9 stone 10 but think that’s wishful thinking. Most of it is round my middle and stomach

Tappering · 09/07/2020 19:59

5'5" and I weigh 14.10.

Healthy BMI (of 25) is 10.5 so I have a way to go! I'll get there though.

My best weight is dead on 10. If I go lower than 9.7 it doesn't suit me. I have broad shoulders and have muscly legs anyway.

blackcat86 · 09/07/2020 20:03

I'm 5ft 4 and weigh 9 1/2 stone. This is some baby weight as I would normally be around 8 1/2 stone. For me it's the difference between a toned size 8-10 and a flabbier, less athletic 10-12.

Oly4 · 09/07/2020 20:03

5ft 5lb and 11st 3lb. I’d like to be about 10st 6lb and a size 10

SmileyClare · 09/07/2020 20:05

5'4" 8 stone. Have lost a bit over lockdown through stress and money worries.

Agree with pps your build and where you carry weight varies from person to person.

To the poster weighing 5 stone ; hope you're ok and can recover soon from whatever has caused your weight loss Flowers

Bodgedboxdye · 09/07/2020 20:07

I’m 5,2 and I weight around 7 stone.

NotMeNoNo · 09/07/2020 20:07

All the 1's - 11st11. Ideally would be 9st 7. I've no desire to be pin thin, just want to keep healthy and fit in case there is life after teenagers.

Bodgedboxdye · 09/07/2020 20:08

Weigh*

SkinSkin · 09/07/2020 20:15

5 foot 3", at the start of the year I weight just over 9 stone but have developed poor eating habits and now weight 7 stone 8.

I much prefer it, love being size 8 again, and actually probably need to even drop to size 6 but haven't done yet. And I know I need to keep an eye on the BMI so I don't skip into 'underweight'. I’ve only got literally 2lb spare before that happens, but I don't think it will as I drink too much wine for that!

Missmonkeypenny · 09/07/2020 20:17

5ft 4 and 8 stone 4, currently breastfeeding 6 month old DS.

Focusanddetermination · 09/07/2020 20:17

11 stone 2-3, down from 12 stone 6 around 6 months ago

Hourglass shape, size 14ish, 32GG boobs

I look better around 9 stone, or did

Chickoletta · 09/07/2020 20:20

Ha! I’m 5’3” and 10st is my Slimming World target weight! I started at 12 st 7lbs, got down to 10st 7 but I’m currently 11st 10lbs. I’m apple shaped and currently look pregnant. Need to lose it ASAP.

On the other hand, I’m very fit and finished in the top 25% of women in the London Marathon whilst 2 stone overweight so not too worried about my health.

Heyhih3 · 09/07/2020 20:20

Don’t obsess about your weight to much OP it’s how you look not what you weigh. I’ve avoided the scales but before March I think I weighed around 71kg. I wear size 10/12 in clothes and I’m 5ft 3.

Iwonder08 · 09/07/2020 20:21

5.4'' and 8.4 stones.. A bit heavier than usual, normally 8.3

IKEA888 · 09/07/2020 20:22

11 stone exactly. if like to loose a stone.

Montsti · 09/07/2020 20:26

5ft3 and 8,3 stone...

I’m in my 40s with 4 children under 10. On average I’m a size 8 but can be a 6 or 10 too depending on brand...

userabcname · 09/07/2020 20:38

I'm 5' 3" and weighing in at just over 11 stone BUT I'm very happy because I've lost a stone in lockdown. Pre kids I was about 9 and a half stone so my aim is to get back to that. At my thinnest I was 7 and a half stone but that was really hard to maintain. I'd love to get to 8 stone 3 as I loved being that weight in terms of how I looked but for now I'm focussing on reaching a healthy bmi. I am kind of an hourglass shape as my waist is 10" smaller than my hips but my c section overhang and mum tum definitely give me more of an apple vibe these days!

MargotB7 · 09/07/2020 20:39

Iwonder08

I wish I only had a 1lbs to lose Grin

TheBlueStocking · 09/07/2020 20:43

Eight and and a half stone ish. Size eight or size six depending on the brand.

Mrsdoubtfireswig · 09/07/2020 20:46

I’m usually 9 stone but flex a couple of points up and down

Twice I’ve got up to nearly 10 stone, first time was when I was much younger and it suited me, second time was a couple of years ago and it didn’t - maybe I carried it differently - seemed to be just round my middle and on my face. That year I made a conscious decision to lose weight as it just made me feel crap with clothes tight etc (and I refused to buy another size up!). Took 3 months to get to 9.4 being careful with what I ate, drank and more exercise and then a few months to lose the last 4 pounds not being so careful
