5 ft 3, how much do you weigh?

After years of avoiding the scales out of the fear I would slip back into having a weight complex, I braved it today when visiting my osteopath.

I'm 10 stone and stand at 5 ft 3. My dress size ranges from 10-12 depending where I shop.

I'm not sure whether to be relieved or disappointed as whilst I haven't been at all careful about dieting or maintaining, I've heard a few people say how being within 8 stone is the ideal for somebody my height.

I'm not obese but am a bit flabby in some places. I think I look nice in clothes.

If you are 5 ft 3 or close to, how much do you weigh?

8 st but I’m very narrow and have no hips or boobs. I don’t think there can be an ideal weight. It depends so much on your frame as well as height. If you feel healthy and well in yourself that’s the main thing. My weight doesn’t tend to fluctuate much and I’ve never consciously ‘dieted’ but if I go through phases of eating too much crap/too much booze/no exercise I notice it as feel sluggish and generally yucky. Lockdown has definitely been one of these phases!

ForInfoOnly · 09/07/2020 12:37

5'4" and 8 stone 4

Rainbow202020 · 09/07/2020 12:38

I’m about 10.5 at nearly 5ft4, am a size 12 in most shops/clothes. I have a very big bust and a bit of a tummy, overall an hourglass shape. I’m currently losing weight (was size 14, over 11 stone before) and ideally would be around 9.5, but I’m quite relaxed about it - I love food and would never go on a diet, I just eat moderately, healthily and exercise - I’m happy with my (curvy) shape overall.

MargotB7 · 09/07/2020 12:40

Today (I'm dieting) I''m 10st5 and I'm in my 40's. I will would like to lose another stone but no more. i have been less when I was younger. I have big boobs and carry the extra weight around my stomach. Slim everywhere else.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 09/07/2020 12:40

5'4 so a little bit taller than you. I weigh 11st 7lbs and a size 12. It's too heavy for me though and I'd like to get down to 9st. I have a naturally slim and petite build with small boobs, I've just put on weight by overeating and I look chubby now.

Elvesdontdomagic · 09/07/2020 12:57

5'6 and 12 stone, a size 12. I look and feel best at 11st but I've put on a stone this past year. I'm a pear shape with large breasts so look too skinny/gaunt below 10.5 stone.

I had an eating disorder for years until around 10 years ago. I'm 40 and mostly body confident now. I had 2 DD's in my mid 30's so think I'm doing alright! Do what makes you happiest but you sound slim to me.

Y0ubetterwerk · 09/07/2020 13:00

Wide hips (40 in) but everywhere else is small. 9st4 usually, 9st 8 on lockdown. Working on shifting the excess as I feel too big. Have never managed to get below 9st.

DullDullWeather · 09/07/2020 13:02

5ft 3
8 stone 10 pounds

Clothing sizes vary from a 10-12 or a 12 . Depends where they are bought from . Tops I am a 12 as got a generous bust.

Chesneyhawkes1 · 09/07/2020 13:02

Currently too much. But usually around 7st 10 to 8 stone. I'll be back at 8 stone shortly I hope.

Chesneyhawkes1 · 09/07/2020 13:04

I'm also narrow. Skinny wrists etc and don't carry weight well.

People my height who weigh more always look better than me.

Terralee · 09/07/2020 13:04

I weigh 12st12lbs so I'm in a diet, trying to get down to 11st then I will see if i can get any lower.

Jula332 · 09/07/2020 13:05

I think I would pull it off better if I had a larger bust. Curvy women with an hourglass figure w generous bust look great imo, everything looks well in proportion.

But since I've no desire or means to have breast enlargement my best bet is to tone/shape up Grin

5ft3 and 5st3
I look shit

ZarkingBell · 09/07/2020 13:20

Never been lean here either. Look best between 9.5 and just over 10 stone. Look really gaunt below 9 stone but still look healthy at 11 stone.
I weight too much at the moment.

northernerinthesouth1 · 09/07/2020 13:21

Pre baby I was 8st 10lb and got back to this after a couple of months pp (mainly due to BF I'm sure) Since Christmas i've crept up to 9st 4lb and can. not. shift the extra lbs. 8st 10lb is definitely my happy weight. I'm pear shaped & feel like an overstuffed sausage in my size 10 jeans atm.

nosotro · 09/07/2020 13:22

8st, I'm a size 6. Always been thin, I eat loads and never change size.

BogRollBOGOF · 09/07/2020 13:25

5'2" small- medium frameed pear shape.
Currently 9st 7 which is definitely squidgy in the middle although still size 8 at top.
Still size 10 on the bottom, but there is more insulation on top of my usual curvy leg muscles/ bum.

My happy weight is 8st 10 to 9st 2. I haven't seen much below 9 in a couple of years (approaching 40)
I was down to 8st when pregnant and barely able to eat from nausea for a few months. I'm in no rush to replicate that again!

StressyMcStressFace · 09/07/2020 13:25

5 ft 3.5 in tall & weigh 7st 9 lbs.i dunno maybe I'm a wee bit underweight but I don't mind

ChateauMargaux · 09/07/2020 13:26

5'3", currently 10 stone. At my heaviest I was knocking on 11 and my lightest around 9 stone 4 but that is from some pretty restrictive eating. Happiest around 9.10. I an aspiring size 12 but often size 14.

StressyMcStressFace · 09/07/2020 13:27

Forgot to say I'm a size 8

daisymay133 · 09/07/2020 13:30

I’m 5’4 weigh 9.5 stone and I’m a good size 12 - strange how people who weig more are a size 10🤔

I’m
Happy at 8st 12 but I’m a pear with a E cup bust so it takes effort to stay at that weight plus I look scrawny in the chest lower than that

LycraLovingLass · 09/07/2020 13:31

I'm 5ft 2 and a half inches (every little counts at this height)

I weigh 8st 10lbs and am trying to get down to 8st ish

Currently a size 10.

Yankathebear · 09/07/2020 13:32

It’s really helpful to read this especially the variations. I’ve recently put on weight and am struggling mentally although I was underweight before and am now ‘normal’.

I think I need to tone up.

Bettysprocker · 09/07/2020 13:34

8 stone and a size 8.

Nighttimefreedom · 09/07/2020 13:35

I'm 5ft 2 and 10st 3. I'm trying to lose a stone. I'm currently overweight according to BMI (and my mirror).
