When and where were your clubbing days?

London based for me. Started off in places like SW1, Club UK, MOS, The Satellite Club, Cafe de Paris. Then progressed on to The End, Turnmills and Fabric via Bagleys and The Cross.

I have so much nostalgia for those carefree irresponsible days pre children. I have continued going to gigs and festivals but haven’t set foot in a club for a long long time. I think it would be a totally different vibe nowadays with everyone totally preoccupied with their phones.

What were your favourite venues/club nights?

Snobs! This place was epic.

@slightlyjaded - similar to you. Started clubbing in London about a year before acid house changed our lives forever.
Raw in Tottenham Court Road, the Africa Centre and warehouse parties were everywhere.. Family Funktion and Shake n Fingerpop (sir Norman Jay).

Then onto acid house and house: Hedonism, Clink St (best nights I ever forgot! 🤪), Trip at the Astoria, Rage and other nights at Heaven, Confusion at Bill Stickers on a Sunday afternoon after Clink St. Bagleys, so many other underground dives. Blimey raving kept us all busy back in the day didn't it! Loved club 333 and metalheadz later on for drum n bass.

Used to love the Arches and an E. Now it's the Archers and a cup of tea

@SlightyJaded - was the night at Burlington's called Miami is your Friend?

Glasgow early 00s the garage (no one got in without id) the shack, velvet rooms, tunnel, archaos- so many memories from that place. Firewater/driftwood before a club.

Moved away 13 years ago and went back at Christmas to meet with friends in the Corinthian, didn’t make it to a club and not sure there are any open!

Popscene was something else. TRASH was it's own special glorious thing. 😁

The venue New cross '96 onwards but really I was into indie then. We would go to somewhere in Streatham when I was into dance/ garage prob '99 / '00.

Or maybe Jazzmins in BROMLEY but we were a bit young to get in ! Ha ha

Late noughties Cambridge. The town had four clubs and they were all kinda crappy. But there'd still be a queue up the stairs to Cindies. Then it was Life, Fez Club, and Soul Tree I think? But mostly I just went to the college bop.

Of course the only real question. Gardies, Van of Life, or Van of Death? Usually Van of Life for me.

These were all late 90s to around 2003

Just wondering if you are who I think you are

Glasgow, early to late 90s - the arches, tunnel, archaos. Down to Newcastle for the boat.

Early 2000's here,
Loved The End, The Cross, Turnmills, Ministry went once and thought it was awful!
Went to Camden a lot, KOKO, Purple Turtle, The Underworld etc.

I would love to go clubbing now but no one to go with!

Pulls on the black lace leggings under the hot pants, age 16. Cash, fags and lip balm, what more did a girl need?
Labrynth, Rocket, Astoria and Busbys and a few big raves, some in Plumstead and no idea where the others were. I remember chatting to Carl Cox as I had managed to get into some kind of VIP area on my own.
As I matured I used to regularly frequent The End and watch Mr C on the decks. Gardening Club I think that was Covent Garden and Hanover Grand. Also somewhere called Car Wash where you dressed in 70s gear. Fabric too but was older then.
Miss those days so much, fabulous memories.

Late 90’s early noughties, North West- we’d think nothing of trekking cross country for a club night- Wigan Pier & Maxims, Munros Burnley, Sugarshack Middlesborough, Tall Trees, Gatecrasher, Syndicate, Cream nights in Liverpool/Glasgow/Edinburgh. Zone (and many others) in Blackpool.
Wish I could remember the half of it.
