Willow2017 · 18/06/2020 11:16

Pah! I ain't driving nowhere near there i will sit in passenger seat with eyes closed thanks.😄
Thanks for new thread.

BarkandCheese · 18/06/2020 11:16

Hello! I take the dog to the vet and come back to find we’ve filled up another thread. Bloody hell the vet was a palavah, humans aren’t allowing inside so the whole thing involved lots of faffing about in their tiny car park, “safely” passing dogs and prescriptions back and forth.

SirSamuelVimesBlackboardMonito · 18/06/2020 11:16

Love the title!

BamboozledandBefuddled · 18/06/2020 11:17

Also placemarking.

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/06/2020 11:21

I'm a dip in and out lurker but I must as @dowser I think it was is Lakeland and sea salt open in Northallerton?
I'm in the next town and county and world's like to know before I drive there.
I need kitchenware porn to drool over.

I went to the dentist today for my belated 6 month check up. Still here to tell the tale as are the lovely dental staff

Mrsfrumble · 18/06/2020 11:21

Love the title Grin The most bonkers roundabout I’ve ever been on is the one in Colchester near the big Tesco. I was glad to only be a passenger.

I thought the tide was turning a bit on here recently (granted I’ve still got the Coronavirus topic hidden) but the school petition thread I saw this morning made me think otherwise. I can’t believe people are still spouting the whole “it’s not a big deal! They’re looking in the same boatneck and teachers will help them catch up” line! That seemed plausible at the start of lockdown, but how many people actually thought it would lead to children being away from school for a whole 6 months?

How are you feeling now Jourdain?

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/06/2020 11:22

Sorry about shit typing. Fucking phone

Mrsfrumble · 18/06/2020 11:22

Obviously that should read “the same boat”! God knows where my phone got boatneck from Confused

Drivingdownthe101 · 18/06/2020 11:24

Hello all!

NannyPhlegm · 18/06/2020 11:24

The school petition thread is bonkers, as is the thread where a key worker is stressing over summer childcare and is being told blithely to do what she always did. Casually ignoring that all those options ARE NOT AVAILABLE THIS YEAR.
Do these people even have children?

Mrsfrumble · 18/06/2020 11:24

And “they’re all” Confused

DS’s English lesson this morning was on proofreading. Clearly I’m not qualified to teach that one!

Waleshasgonecompletelycrazy · 18/06/2020 11:26

Hi from Cardiff. I'm really cross the Welsh Government seem to be getting away with the claim that children here are getting part time schooling. Don't believe it, it's one morning a week for most. Others a bit less/more but it's basically a welfare check. It's better than nothing don't get me wrong but it can't be called an education.

ExpletiveDelighted · 18/06/2020 11:26

I haven't posted on the last couple of threads but need to come back after foolishly getting sucked into the "are you wiping your shopping" thread.

I remember the feeling of achievement when I finally got the hang of the magic roundabout in Hemel many years ago.

Allflightscancelled · 18/06/2020 11:27

Hello all. Checking in and avoiding doing some work that's very hard

Allflightscancelled · 18/06/2020 11:29

Here in sunny England kids aren't getting anything either. My dd is year 12, and she's getting 1hr40mins a week as of this week. She goes tomorrow but it's apparently not even with a relevant subject teacher, and all they do as is how you're feeling and try to make you think about university applications.

MinesaPinot · 18/06/2020 11:29

Hello, or should I say bonjour, all!

DrearyWallAntler · 18/06/2020 11:29

On this one as well.

Orangeblossom78 · 18/06/2020 11:30

Finding them all a bit mad. very rainy here today

Waleshasgonecompletelycrazy · 18/06/2020 11:30

@ExpletiveDelighted - I bleach and burn my shopping. It's the only way.

ISaySteadyOn · 18/06/2020 11:31

Dyspraxia bars me from driving but I will cheer you all on. Checking in.

Orangeblossom78 · 18/06/2020 11:31

My year 10 seems really swamped with work, but he does have a bit of a slow processing speed thing, he is on the laptop 9.30-4.30 most days, has to send it in or gets chased up. Not sure if this is good or not. GCSEs.

Hobnobswantshernameback · 18/06/2020 11:32

I've been to Greggs
I'm very happy
It really doesn't take much these days
Grin

Allflightscancelled · 18/06/2020 11:32

Is anyone else transfixed by the Budliegh Salterton mystery thread in Chat? It's got the potential to be a really sad story and I hope it's not, but it's completely reeled me in.
