I am waiting with baited breath for Nicola, Queen of Scottish Dementors to make her announcement.

We should have a wee drinking game for her daily speech - sip of tea and a biscuit each time she says "let me be very clear", "until it's safe to do so", "sadly died" and her other stock phrases.

I've just had a murderous trip to the post office and spent a load on a takeaway lunch for me and the dc. Jesus, lockdown is costing a bloody fortune.

BogRollBOGOF · 18/06/2020 12:28

Cheap knickers of Death Grin
Have to be thongs or boyfriend style for that uncomfortable wedgie effect.

Full buttock coverage for me, and a waist so high you can store the mum tum in it. No skimping on the fabric. Bad knickers are a surefire way to ruin your day Grin

AnxiousElephant77 · 18/06/2020 12:29

To be clear lunch was from a cafe and not the post office. I justified it to dp by breezily shouting 'hashtag support local' down the phone at him Hmm

thenightsky · 18/06/2020 12:30

@Allflightscancelled

I too am now over-invested in that abandoned car thread. I don't see how it can have a happy ending though.

thenightsky · 18/06/2020 12:33

I really want to go to TKMaxx, but don't fancy queuing in the rain. I desperately need fitted sheets as DH has (yet again) ripped all ours to shreds with his sandpaper feet. Angry

Orangeblossom78 · 18/06/2020 12:34

My favourite Thai restaurant does delivery now, I might do that sometime instead of going perhaps. It was never that easy getting out evenings die to DC but I like not cooking and clearing up sometimes!

Spudlet · 18/06/2020 12:35

@BogRollBOGOF New kit is always necessary. DH doesn’t understand this. This is why he once did a 10k in cargo shorts ConfusedShock

Are you signed up with Sport Pursuit? You get a lot of emails but if you can put up with that, there are bargains to be had. My best so far is a top for £9.99 that would have been £60 at full price!

Mrsfrumble · 18/06/2020 12:37

I’ve been murdering people by saying I want DD to go back to school with no distancing.

I wonder what people think is happening in nurseries? We walked past a local one yesterday when the children were playing outside and there was no distancing going on at all (obviously, because they’re toddlers!)

On the subject of cheap knickers of death, boyshorts always give me an instant wedgie too. There must be some people out there who this doesn’t happen to. Maybe my arse is the wrong shape.

MinesaPinot · 18/06/2020 12:40

Printing money? Is that a thing? How do we do that then - can anyone do it? I’ve seen some nice things in the sales and could do with a bit extra....

Not enough tea in the world
Dollybagwash · 18/06/2020 12:45

She literally just does what Boris does a few weeks later 🤦‍♀️ I am just shouting at my tele at this point! Pubs? Playparks? Come on!!

rookiemere · 18/06/2020 12:46

I can't bring myself to watch Nicola. Anyone have a summary ?

KaronAVyrus · 18/06/2020 12:48

Thank you DollyBagWash for taking one for the team and watching our state sponsored “Me, Myself and I Show”.
Drivingdownthe101 · 18/06/2020 12:48

I can’t watch Boris either. I just wait until he’s finished then read a summary online.
Fingers crossed for your release over the border!

KaronAVyrus · 18/06/2020 12:49

Just look at what Boris announced 2 weeks ago - it will be very similar 😂
Dollybagwash · 18/06/2020 12:50

@KaronAVyrus 😂😂 basically parks and pubs oh an primark the 29th of June!

Must go slowly mind! I'm away to meet my friends newborn so I'm switching off. God she depresses the life out of me!

Orangeblossom78 · 18/06/2020 12:50

It's summarising it here

www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/uk-scotland-53049825

Says they still need to stay within 5 miles

Dollybagwash · 18/06/2020 12:51

No she's no letting pubs open. What a dick!!

Orangeblossom78 · 18/06/2020 12:51

until 15th July?

Orangeblossom78 · 18/06/2020 12:52

"The only change which will take effect immediately from today is in our guidance for people who are shielding – those most at risk from Covid-19 and who have therefore been advised up until now to stay inside completely."

The first minister confirms that anyone who is shielding, unless you live in a nursing or residential care home, is now able to go outdoors for exercise – for example for a walk, wheel or cycle"

SomewhereEast · 18/06/2020 12:53

I haven't watched a single one of those bloody briefings. I just read the summary afterwards.

Anyway I left the house today, so am off to scrub down every inch of exposed skin with bleach. Can't be too careful!

Orangeblossom78 · 18/06/2020 12:53

Thought dad might be able to see family now :-(

KaronAVyrus · 18/06/2020 12:54

She’s still keeping the 5 mile nonsense 🤦‍♀️ She can just fuck off

Orangeblossom78 · 18/06/2020 12:54

I can't watch them either! Only online summaries Grin
