I’d be really careful with the poster who thinks because they can’t go out no one should go out. I know she’s an argumentative pita but I also think she’s in a very very dark place.

Shes been around a while. Rejects every offer of help and practical advice i have tried as have others nothing is ever good enough yet she refuses offers of help from her community. Asks for scientific evidence then rejects it. Only wants to make others as miserable as she is. Won't go further than her doorstep not even her own garden because neighbours use thier garden too and its so selfish of them. She is a proper dementor nothing anyone does is anything but an insult to her personal safety. Its relentless. So self important yet has refused over and over to help herself at all.

I think of it more as a large, heavy, damp blanket that gets dropped over anything remotely pleasurable.

Hello fellow sane people.

Had a rotten day. I plan ahead and book holiday clubs for DDs when the dates are released. Just had ALL of the summer ones cancelled. Lovely, so what should the kids do for 6 weeks? DD1 won't have been able to socialise in a group of peers for 6 months and thats assuming she can go back to school in September. DD2 is in a better place having been able to go in for the last half term of her primary. Everything they would enjoy is cancelled or closed and we can'yt even send them to the Granparents for a break. As for a holiday well thats not looking likely either. I am going to need lots of gin to get through this rotten summer.

Just been reading on the Guardian that Raab looks to be suggesting the 2m rule could be relaxed and the comments below the line are just a sea of DEATH! NEW NORMAL! KILLING PEOPLE!

I have everything crossed that it gets relaxed and I can get the fuck back to work.

The bit about nearly losing her mind in the early part of lockdown just reminded me of what a dark place I went to in the first few weeks, all alone with everything feeling so bleak and dangerous.

The dementors on my FB feed have popped back up again after their 30 day snooze. Like InfiniteGerbil above, they're having coronaries about death due to fast fashion. Almost a crossover between sustainability and Covid.

Bakewell not sure their ages but are there other parents who are anti dementors and could maybe team up with for playdates perhaps? Sounds difficult. I'm not looking for ward to weeks of mine at home on Minecraft either...wonder if it will do that rain thing it does sometimes in the holidays too. Where it is nice and sunny then pours in August. Hope not. We sometimes go away but not this year.
