Something just moved in my stomach..

I’ve name changed for this.

Something literally just rolled in my stomach, there was a popping sensation and now I swear I have a bump where I didn’t before. Nothing that strange until I mention that I’ve not had sex since November and I’ve had periods since then. But something is moving in my stomach, and not like trapped wind. I’ll get out for a test first thing, but I surely can’t be that many weeks pregnant and not have had a single symptom till now, surely? Please someone tell me I can’t.

I've had loads of 'baby' movements since mine were born. It's always wind. Unlikely but not impossible.

Why can't you. It's happened to others. It's not common place but it's not exactly unheard of either. If you last had sex in November then he or she would be very active by now.

If you've had six months worth of periods then it won't be a baby.
Phantom kicks?

DNAshelicase · 25/05/2020 09:47

Have you been to the shop yet OP?

StayAlert · 25/05/2020 09:50

I think pregnancy tests don't work if you are over a certain number of weeks/ months pregnant so not sure how helpful a test will be?

Just place marking, waiting for the invite to the baby shower.

BearSoFair · 25/05/2020 09:52

Is there any chance you could have IBS? Some of my spasms can feel exactly like a baby, I was quite freaked out the first time it happened!

MrsMozartMkII · 25/05/2020 09:52

Fingers crossed it's what you need it to be.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 25/05/2020 09:53

After reading this thread last night, I had a dream that I popped to Boots for worm medicine (also watched tapeworm episode of House before bed) and gave birth unexpectedly on the floor in boots having not known I was pregnant. 🙄

Emmagen · 25/05/2020 09:54

Have you had children before? I've felt loads of baby kicks in the last couple of years and my son is 3. They feel exactly like kicks, not just a little movement but as if there was a baby in there doing flips off my ribs. It's the weirdest feeling and I've never been pregnant. Never felt anything like it before having a baby.

I actually am pregnant now but not felt anything yet from this one!

Nixen · 25/05/2020 09:55

I agree unlikely to be a pregnancy in your circumstances but I’d want to double check!

Emmagen · 25/05/2020 09:56

Obviously I mean I've never found out I was pregnant after experiencing phantom kicks. I have a child so have been pregnant Blush

JustHavinABreak · 25/05/2020 10:15

Has this ever happened to anyone with the mirena coil? Ahem...asking for a friend Confused

BeforeLight · 25/05/2020 10:18

If you’re that many weeks pregnant a test wouldn’t necessarily show as positive as the hormones die down and you can get a negative test

ThornyR0se · 25/05/2020 10:22

Wind.

SimpleKindofLife · 25/05/2020 10:24

Definitely get a pregnancy test just in case... unlikely but you need to rule it out.

IncrediblySadToo · 25/05/2020 10:37

Had you had any fizzy drinks? My Ex had a similar thing, we both saw it move and felt it (I was leaning my head on their tummy at the time). Most peculiar

However, being Male we didn't consider pregnancy - funnily enough!!🤣

Take DS with you to the chemist he can stand outside for 5 minutes.

I'm betting alien before pregnancy though!

BertieBotts · 25/05/2020 10:46

I thought it was a myth about the pregnancy test being negative if you're too far along. What you're talking about is the hook effect, but it is rare and mainly happens in abnormal pregnancies such as ectopic/molar (which wouldn't cause a moving baby) and twins (which would probably be noticeable!)

Ohshitx · 25/05/2020 11:37

I’ve got a test, I’m on my way home and I’ll update today when I get home. 😫

I’ve not had a period every month for 6 months, but I never have since starting my periods at 15. I have endometriosis, periods aren’t regular and vary from heavy for a week to hardly anything for a day. They’ve always been like that I’ve definitely had at least 2/3 since November though.

Will a test still show positive if you were five months' pregnant?

Does your belly feel different?

sarahcoffeelover · 25/05/2020 11:50

I was actually Going to suggest endo.
