Something just moved in my stomach..

I’ve name changed for this.

Something literally just rolled in my stomach, there was a popping sensation and now I swear I have a bump where I didn’t before. Nothing that strange until I mention that I’ve not had sex since November and I’ve had periods since then. But something is moving in my stomach, and not like trapped wind. I’ll get out for a test first thing, but I surely can’t be that many weeks pregnant and not have had a single symptom till now, surely? Please someone tell me I can’t.

You had protected sex in November and have been having monthly periods since? Wouldn't even bother wasting money on a pregnancy test.

Funsize123 · 24/05/2020 18:28

I would think wind. I’m sometimes get it for no reason since having my babies xx

Hernia?
Wind?

Tapeworm?

LaurieFairyCake · 24/05/2020 18:32

Can you take a side pic of your stomach and post it?

If you're six months preggers we can tell Grin

SockYarn · 24/05/2020 18:33

Fibroid? I have a mahoosive one and it was the size of a 5 month pregnancy. I had a bump. And it rolled and moved around. Are your periods very heavy?

DamnYankee · 24/05/2020 18:40

Bella Swan, is that you? Wink

Lynda07 · 24/05/2020 18:44

You don't have pregnancies in your stomach, a baby grows lower down than that. The chances are you had some wind or, as someone else suggested, maybe a hernia. However, strange things do happen so do a test if only to reassure yourself and be sure to come back and tell us.

fedupandlookingforchange · 24/05/2020 18:46

I made it to 18 weeks without any symptoms, bump popped out and movements started at about 20 weeks ( that’s when I realised I wasn’t 8 weeks pregnant).
I have a slight hernia and that also feels like I am being kicked.

NewMumma1819 · 24/05/2020 18:48

My colleague went home with 'terrible period pains' (contractions) on her lunch break last summer, had baby at 11 that night. She was about 37 weeks they guessed. She'd been on birth control for a year. Mum and baby are both fine! Grin

Blackdoggotmytonguestill · 24/05/2020 18:51

Wind. No chance in hell you’re pregnant. Digestive system often feels like baby kicking. I’ve had three babies and a good few ‘good lord that felt just a baby’ moments. That weren’t. Nice cup of peppermint tea and a bit more exercise. Grin

saverssavedsavanak · 24/05/2020 18:51

I get this loads. Fluttering and rolling exactly like a baby moving. It's wind.

Bluetrews25 · 24/05/2020 18:51

I've had this too. Not pregnant at the time.

Friendsofmine · 24/05/2020 18:51

Worms?

quince2figs · 24/05/2020 18:52

Totally possible, OP....and not uncommon for women not to notice/show a bump, and to still have bleeds (esp if still using hormonal contraception).

Pregnancy tests, however, often become negative from around 16 weeks, so don’t rely on this. If it’s positive, though, you have the answer.

Having said that, I am a gynaecologist, and at times have felt movements In my pelvis/abdomen, spookily like when I was pregnant (last pregnancy quite a few years ago now!). Likely to be irritable bowel syndrome or poss uterine contractions, but it is weird.
Gave me quite a turn when it first happened, much more in the first year after giving birth.

I was 22 weeks had even had tests done at the hospital.
I was going to have treatment CIN 3, so was needed. We moved house registered with new gp who wanted to do a test before hospital treatment.
The following week I was enormous, happened over night, flat stomach to really big.
So, yes it can happen.

Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese · 24/05/2020 19:04

As pp said, get yourself a glass of oj and lay down, either kicks or wind will follow.

Sometimes I get a rolling sensation in my stomach, generally wind. I hope you get the answer you want.

GenevaMaybe · 24/05/2020 19:06

I’ve got IBS and a proper spasm is identical to a big baby kick

AintOverUntilTheCatLadySings · 24/05/2020 19:06

I had this before. No idea what it was but it wasn't a baby.

Sunny4876 · 24/05/2020 19:08

Not impossible,I know someone who found out out of the blue at 19 weeks.

Esspee · 24/05/2020 19:11

I used to get movement in my stomach which looked and felt like an 8 month old foetus turning. Never found out what it was.

neveradullmoment99 · 24/05/2020 19:13

Interested to know the outcome. Did you do a test OP?

Thisismytimetoshine · 24/05/2020 19:19

It'll be wind.

Mo81 · 24/05/2020 19:22
