Can share why if you want or just share the song name. Or add a link so we can listen.

Attended an online funeral today and they played Highland Cathedral and realised it is always one that gets me. I was at this Proms in the Park that's seen on the video and I cried then and cried today when I heard it.

This song breaks me every time I hear it
It was played at a friend's funeral back in 2008 as soon as it starting playing I was a mess
The beginning lyrics are

"I want to have the same last dream again,
The one where I wake up and I'm alive."

You are Never forgotten Jamie

Ahh I walked down the aisle to Highland Cathedral (on the organ) it’s a lovely memory of my dad.

Lark Ascending

It was played at my great Auntie's funeral and moved me beyond words.
It's just beautiful.

wellerhugs5 · 23/05/2020 09:48

Not a song though!

Corrag · 23/05/2020 09:49

Agree with several of the ones already mentioned. This Woman's Work and the Pearl Fishers Duet particularly.

For me, also Eva's version of Fields Of Gold and Vincent by Don McLean.

crosser62 · 23/05/2020 09:58

A thousand years Christina Perry. It was the YouTube video that accompanied it, changed the song meaning entirely For me.

Us against the world Coldplay. It symbolises my struggle with infertility and miscarriage, the words were true to me when expecting my baby after years and years of troubles.

There are numerous songs that remind me of people long gone.
