Can share why if you want or just share the song name. Or add a link so we can listen.

Attended an online funeral today and they played Highland Cathedral and realised it is always one that gets me. I was at this Proms in the Park that's seen on the video and I cried then and cried today when I heard it.

Everglow by Coldplay. I think of the beautiful 'everglow' I will forever carry in my heart for my beloved, late and much missed sibling. Tears and smiles every time...

Another with 'You'll Never Walk Alone' but definitely the Gerry & The Pacemakers version. Such fantastic memories standing on The Kop at Anfield - many years ago but still brings a tear, or two, to my eye.

Agree with quite a few mentioned. Also

Don’t Give Up - Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush
Don’t Cry - Guns and Roses

And a not so well-known one: Remember Me by Christie Hennessy. I will be having that at my own funeral.

Drugs Don't Work - The Verve

When I was in my teens I performed in a drug awareness show for Yr6s. This song was played at the end of the show.

They were some of the most fantastic times of my life and that feeling when the music gets louder and the audience start clapping is just amazing.

I can't listen to this song now as it just makes me sad and bitter that I'm now miserable and depressed lol.

Everynow · 23/05/2020 03:28

Robert Miles - Children
Massive Attack - Teardrop
Tears for Fears - Mad World

I'm sure there are more but these stand out for me!

Tolleshunt · 23/05/2020 03:29

Sunshine on Leith by the Proclaimers

My brother chose it to be played at my mum's funeral which is the first time I had heard it. I saw the Proclaimers here in Adelaide last year and the whole theatre sang along and it was very emotional.

Now if I need to cry I will put it on youtube and sob my heart out.

What a shitty comment, music is such a personal thing.
