Getting fit indoors - accountability thread

We have been in lockdown for 6 weeks I think and outdoor activity is very limited. I am getting fatter and creakier! Wondered if anybody else would like an accountability thread to post what exercise you are doing every day? I started off well but lethargy has set in and I am feeling less and less like moving but also not sleeping well so I need someone to get me to buck my ideas up!

Just a fitness blender workout today which I hated every minute of. That’s not like me so I won’t do that one again. 246 calories.

LaneBoy · 06/05/2020 20:27

Nothing today. Feeling really low for various reasons and unlike most days I didn’t feel able to make myself do anything. Was a planned rest day from the workout anyway but I should try and do the bike later.

lubeybooby · 07/05/2020 11:03

just created a 40 minute playlist for the elliptical - eek! Been trying to work up to 40 mins, thought I'd add one more song but turns out it's a loooong one.

Did all my measurements today. Last did it 9 weeks ago and I started this endeavor I think exactly a month ago -

an inch off each bust, waist, hips

an inch off top of thigh

2 inches off the lower thigh just above knee (!! knew I could see it there!)

half an inch off my neck and forearms

a quarter inch off calves

Only weighing in monthly and usually do measurements 3 monthly but I got curious as I was sure I could see a difference. Very happy with that

Wow that’s fantastic @lubeybooby! Amazing. Must be so motivating as well seeing them difference?!

I’ve done my workout this morning. Much prefer doing it as soon as I’m up but also like to get the kids schooling done early too and the two don’t mix well.

Will go a walk or a cycle later with the kids too.

lubeybooby · 07/05/2020 13:38

Thanks, yeah I finished my 40 mins no problem so I'm guessing seeing the measurements spurred me on even further! I think I'll make 30 minutes my minimum now (was 10 when I started this) as I genuinely get into it and enjoy it long as the music is right. I just zone out and daydream and keep up with the beat.

I can't believe I've actually found a routine that works and I look forward to and is actually doing something positive for my health. I'm pretty sure it's helping MH wise as well as self care and getting other things tidy and organised are happening much more regularly and with a lot more enjoyment

I did Body Combat 71 today, really struggled to push through and didn't join in with the whole leg round but gave it a really good try.

Wildernesstips · 07/05/2020 20:42

Another hour’s walk today. I think that this may be the first time in my life that I have actually kept at the exercise.

lubeybooby · 08/05/2020 08:35

Well done everyone - will be same old same old for me today. This seems to indicate I get set in my ways easily but I'm not gonna fight this one!

lubeybooby · 08/05/2020 12:16

33 minutes done today. My mood tanked for zero reason soon after my earlier post and I was suddenly very grumpy about the thought of exercise but I still did it. Feel a bit better now knowing it's under my belt despite the grumps. I am mid cycle and always seem to get a mood crash somewhere around now so guess this is it. Sigh.

LaneBoy · 08/05/2020 12:34

zero motivation here and didn’t manage to do my workout or bike yesterday either (I did walk to town but that’s it)

I get a mood crash mid cycle too

lovinglavidaloca · 08/05/2020 12:49

Posting here for accountability today. I will be doing a fitness blender workout in the next hour or so and probably a walk later or a cycle if I feel I can be bothered.

Looking forward to my two ‘rest days’ at the weekend.

LycraLovingLass · 08/05/2020 13:03

Well done for getting it done despite really not feeling it!

Hormones are always trying to undo us one way or another.

I did 30 mins Grit Plyo. Well I say I did 30 mins, the workout was 30 mins long and I joined in best I could.

Then a 30 min bootcamp session.

lovinglavidaloca · 08/05/2020 14:29

Done! A Popsugar workout for me today for a change. Was nice to do something different from my usual Fitness Blender.

293 calories BE GONE!!!

lovinglavidaloca · 08/05/2020 16:26

Walk done! A leisurely 2.44 miles with the kids.

LaneBoy · 08/05/2020 22:31

Awful day today but I did just do my new workout exercises.

lubeybooby · 09/05/2020 09:27

rest day for me today - still quite grumpy but not as bad as yesterday. The thought of a rest day and staying in my pj's eating cheese on toast (although still portion controlled, sodding calories) is cheering me up

LaneBoy · 09/05/2020 11:10

Have done a 20min session on the bike this morning. I normally don’t get round to it in the morning so that’s an improvement of sorts

lovinglavidaloca · 09/05/2020 11:51

Rest day here today and I am glad for it! My knee was absolutely killing me last night so a couple of days with no lunges etc will do it good.

Will be going a short walk later with kids though.

LycraLovingLass · 09/05/2020 12:09

Half hour CXWork which is actually the hardest thing I have done in ages, its Core Strength of which I have none.

Then half hour body pump. Total calories 328.

Going to walk the dog when it cools down later and burn a few more.

Wildernesstips · 09/05/2020 17:22

Nothing yesterday but 25 mins Pilates and 1hr 15 walk. Starting to get too hot for me to walk in the heat of the day.

lubeybooby · 10/05/2020 08:00

Feeling quite a lot better today - yesterday was nice but I do prefer my routine. Intending to be back on my happy healthy wagon today

I hate hormones. How entirely rude just popping my bubble like that

LycraLovingLass · 10/05/2020 13:11

Glad you are feeling better today @lubeybooby.

Did 45 mins Body Attack workout today, actually really enjoyed it which surprised me xxx

LycraLovingLass · 10/05/2020 13:11

ignore the xxx - forgot where I was for a second there Grin

HackAttack · 10/05/2020 15:32

25 miles cycled across 3 separate bike rides, Pamela Reif in YouTube is good for gentle exercise

lubeybooby · 10/05/2020 15:32

Haha! Thank you

I did 34 minutes elliptical and got back on my 16:8 intermittent fasting. I had breakfast fairly early yesterday and god it was so hard controlling my appetite the rest of the day and from about 3pm I regretted having a rest from it. Doing MUCH better today. Watch out size 12, I see you there in the distance and I am coming for you. RARR

Still grumpier than I was but I mostly just ignore my own inner whining and just get on with it Grin
