What are you f*cking good at that you'd never say but are secretly proud of?

For me, it's putting people at ease.

I've not got the best self esteem but by goodness I'm authentic.

What are you good at - even if you'd never let on!

Dancing, in fact I recently taught my colleagues to do the perfect body roll!

MutteringDarkly · 28/02/2020 21:06

Tiling. Sod all to do with my day job but turned out to find it easy (and satisfying). I'd career-change but maybe it would stop being fun but I am running out of things to tile at home

Thiswayorthatway · 28/02/2020 21:06

Threading a needle, awesome at it.

TeetotalKoala · 28/02/2020 21:07

Oh, and I'm a packing ninja. I can get everything a family of four needs for a week long holiday into two cabin bags.

ThePolishWombat · 28/02/2020 21:07

@SageRosemary I’ve been invited to something called “bandeoke” (karaoke with a love band) over Easter weekend with some of DH’s work friends and their partners.
Might drink some Dutch courage and give my vocal chords some exercise then Blush

Sew3stitch · 28/02/2020 21:07

Jigsaws.

ShortAndSharp · 28/02/2020 21:08

I'm very good at taking my lovely Mum and equally as lovely MIL for granted. Huge shame for that.

I'm good at reading to my kids (they always ask before we've opened the book if there will be funny voices)

I'm exceptionally outstanding at hiding vegetables in their meals....

I'm good at telling people that I love them.

Disfordarkchocolate · 28/02/2020 21:12

I'm good at explaining how to do things without making you feel stupid.

And making cakes. Oh, and kissing.

LittleSweet · 28/02/2020 21:13

I can teach myself how to do most creative things.
I can paint watercolour.
I can crochet.
I can make cake and decorate them.
I make a nice home.
I'm good at cooking.

I like the idea of people whispering. I do that. Although I think it's because I'm autistic and I worry about saying the wrong thing so I ask people about themselves. It can attract narcissists though...
I'm having a crappy day, so I'm glad to think of things I can do.

RainydaysandMondaysalways · 28/02/2020 21:13

@Prokupatuscrakedatus haha i liked that one, well done

I8toys · 28/02/2020 21:13

Wordsearches - I can see patterns with words apparently!

SaltLampBae · 28/02/2020 21:13

I'm a bloody great speller.

BobbleBun · 28/02/2020 21:14

I'm told all the time that I have a lovely manner on the phone and beautiful handwriting.

I'm also really good at mental arithmetic.

My best one though is that I never forget a face. Even someone I've only met fleetingly many years ago I'll remember when and where I know them from and I can tell they don't recall me at all.

Scrowy · 28/02/2020 21:14

Debsdp · 28/02/2020 21:18

Like others, I have a weird memory for numbers & letters. I can remember all 6 of our passport numbers, N.I. numbers, driving licences, the registration number of every car any of us have owned over the last 30 years etc. Bank cards are an absolute doddle, much to my husband's concern 😁. I also 'see' words in my head so am immediately able to tell you how many letters are in any given word. Very useful for crosswords but not much else!

iMatter · 28/02/2020 21:18

Weightlifting

I'm v small and when I told people in the past I could do x or y they didn't believe me and mostly took the piss. Now I just get on with it without telling people (apart from you lot obvs)

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 28/02/2020 21:19

I can spin plates (that week at Butlins wasn't wasted , thank you The Citrus Brothers Grin )

Funnily enough it hasn't enhanced my career or life at all !

My job. I'm really good at sales.

Waitingfirgodot · 28/02/2020 21:20

Making 16-18 year olds like me. I'm utterly rubbish with people younger and older, but that age group seen to genuinely like me.

Toddlerteaplease · 28/02/2020 21:20

Passing Naso Gastric tunes first time!

Singingatmidnight · 28/02/2020 21:20

I am excellent at knowing how much time any task will take me. I try not to go on about it, but I find it genuinely confusing that other people struggle with this. Most tasks in life I've done before, or at least something similar, so... I just know how long it takes?

Connected to the above, I am always very on time for everything. Can often be found hanging around outside waiting until "fashionably late" occurs.

SparkyBlue · 28/02/2020 21:21

Directions. Once I have a rough idea of where I am going I will find it . If I have been there once even years before I will still find it again no bother.

OhTheRoses · 28/02/2020 21:22

Situational analysis. Weigh up the facts of a scenario and read people very quickly. On the IQ tests I am off the scale for analysis.
