For me, it's putting people at ease.

I've not got the best self esteem but by goodness I'm authentic.

What are you good at - even if you'd never let on!

Making tea ☕️

HerRoyalCarbyLess · 28/02/2020 20:31

Oh. And blowjobs. I'm good at those BlushGrin

homemadecommunistrussia · 28/02/2020 20:31

Choosing the most disgusting thing on any menu. Sad

mytypeonpaper · 28/02/2020 20:31

@WhisperingJesse please teach me!

Flymetothetoon · 28/02/2020 20:32

Typing the word Fucking without a net huns asterix

Shamazing · 28/02/2020 20:33

Talking to people. Any people. I was a really shy child but ended up in a job that I had to deal with loads of different people.

fastliving · 28/02/2020 20:33

Shooting - with guns. I'm the wrong skin colour to join a gun club though. Would freak them all out.

RickOShay · 28/02/2020 20:34

Talking and being with children.
I just get them.

Growingboys · 28/02/2020 20:35

Talking to people and making them laugh.

I sometimes think it's the only reason I have my job - because I make the boss laugh.

LtGreggs · 28/02/2020 20:36

Excel

BendyLikeBeckham · 28/02/2020 20:36

Packing: Suitcases, car boots, vans, drawers, bags, you name it I can tetris a shitload more stuff in than you ever imagined. It is an art form.

Also, people-whispering. I'll have you tell me your life story within 5 mins of meeting me.

RickOShay · 28/02/2020 20:38

@BendyLikeBeckham
Grin snap!! I just don’t have the patience for most adults these days!
We should meet and see who cracks firstGrin

DimplesMcGee · 28/02/2020 20:38

Ooo I have a short list!

Packing lots of things into other things (books into boxes, clothes into suitcases, boxes into carboots etc)
Recognising very minor actors and remembering what they’ve been in before, when I’m watching tv
Decorating Christmas trees
Recalling a route I’ve walked/driven along once, even years later
My keen sense of smell

redastherose · 28/02/2020 20:39

Like a pp I'm really really good at parking, I'm also great at cartwheels (despite being nearly 50) not a skill I get to use much 😁 I'm also really good at archery despite only having done it a couple of times.

WitchDancer · 28/02/2020 20:41

Fire lighting with a flint and steel.

Toadsrevisited · 28/02/2020 20:41

Amazing sense of smell
Photographic memory
Swearing creatively

clary · 28/02/2020 20:41

I'm ace at words too - someone at work has a word of the day calendar and I know lots of them. But I admit that as it's kind of my job.

I am good at making brownies... Hmm also not a secret. OK, I am genuinely good at doing things quickly - the laundry, the supermarket shop, prepping dinner, changing the beds - I just crack on and it's the only way I can get everything done! People are surprised when they realise so maybe that's my secret skill.

EssentialHummus · 28/02/2020 20:41

I can get into any car and drive off as if I’ve been driving it for years. Never stall, miss gears, brake too hard etc.

I always sound/look calm even if I’m bricking it.

I’m very good at forward planning and tend to look ahead and make decisions that pay off very well in the medium term.

Kolo · 28/02/2020 20:43

I'm fucking awesome at Tekken, even though I don't know any of the moves. I just wiggle the buttons and I'm a shit hot killer. Drives my DH mad to know he wasted his life learning the actual moves.

At school I was unbeatable at beanbag (or anything) on my head races.

I'm good at talking to people I don't know. I used to be really shy and awkward as a child and teen. But now I'll talk to anyone, and I like to hear about their lives.

I can make a really good strong tea. Strong, not stewed.

goodytooshoes · 28/02/2020 20:44

Bakestones,
Palliative care,
Crochet.

SageRosemary · 28/02/2020 20:46

Ironing. I didn't realise how good I was until a friend gave me a lift one day. She had just collected her DH's shirts from the Laundry, they were hanging in the back of her car and they would not have passed for my DH, no sirree!

@ThePolishWombat - that's such a shame that you don't perform still, I bet you'd rock your local musical society.

@SinglePringle - you have a talent for making me laugh too

@WillowSummerSloth - I used to hold a great handstand too, I was always the one asked to show others and I could do splits but I was useless at cartwheels and walkovers. I often wonder nowadays if I could still manage a handstand, I know splits are beyond me now

Russellbrandshair · 28/02/2020 20:46
  1. I can know someone for 2 minutes and I can get all their intimate details - even stuff they’ve never told a soul before. People just trust me.
  1. I can unblock any toilet. Doesn’t matter how bad the blockage, I can fix it within 5 mins (quite proud of this one 👍)
clary · 28/02/2020 20:46

Oooh my DH is very good at tetris packing the car too.

He's also amazing at knowing what film or TV show an actor has been in. For that alone he's worth the price of admission as I am really pants at that.

AdmiralSirArchibald · 28/02/2020 20:49

Teenagers. I just get them, I've no idea why. They often ask "But how did you know I was thinking that?" I tell them I'm magical

managedmis · 28/02/2020 20:50

I'd say I'm exceptionally charming
