For me, it's putting people at ease.

I've not got the best self esteem but by goodness I'm authentic.

What are you good at - even if you'd never let on!

OP posts:
BashandWhizz · 28/02/2020 20:51

I can sing and reasonably good at drawing.
Shit at maths.

CremeEggThief · 28/02/2020 20:52

Handwriting. Nobody I know has nicer handwriting than I!

Tidying and organising.

Inniu · 28/02/2020 20:52

Simplifying things and explaining them.

FranklySonImTheGaffer · 28/02/2020 20:52

Fastliving I’m good at shooting too. Have only been to gun ranges a few times when in America but my aim is superb!

I have a way with dogs - they just tend to like me and are well behaved around me (have worked in a kennels and rescue centre due to this but it's been like this since I was a child).

My memory is odd but fantastic. It’s photographic for the most part but I also remember tiny details about people. My other skill is not letting on how much I remember so I don’t freak people out!

I’m also brilliant at problem solving, in a minor around-the-house kind of way. If we need something but don’t have it, I 100% guarantee I can put my hands on something and adapt it so it works etc. Drives DH mad when he’s struggling to figure something out and I solve the problem in 5 seconds Grin

MelbaToast · 28/02/2020 20:53

I make people laugh. I was so shy at school but realised when I left that sometimes I could just come out with things that would have people laughing. Admittedly, I do sometimes sit in my room at night and just let the random thoughts flow into my head.

pollywobble · 28/02/2020 20:53

Swearing
Puns and other kinds of wordplay
Cooking perfect cheese on toast

Bargebill19 · 28/02/2020 20:54

Finding a fish and chips shop.

sockittome123 · 28/02/2020 20:56

I make killer brownies (not literally) but everyone I know knows that Grin

I can't think of anything else I'm good at though!

MontanaSky · 28/02/2020 20:56

I have a natural aptitude for customer service and am able to calm situations very well.
I'm also a people whisperer - people tend to confide in me and I'm a great listener

TitchyP · 28/02/2020 20:56

I'm also good at putting people at their ease. Especially kids. Just as well as that's a major part of my job.

Procrastinating-I really excel at that.

pollywobble · 28/02/2020 20:57

Ooh, and wiggling my ears and touching the end of my nose with my tongue (Very useful!)

mamaduckbone · 28/02/2020 20:57

I have lovely handwriting and make exceptionally good cakes.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 28/02/2020 20:57

Being mediocre - I am fairly good at that.

StormBaby · 28/02/2020 20:58

I am extremely empathetic, can always see every situation from every angle and get a deeper understanding of it from all perspectives.

Meme05 · 28/02/2020 21:00

Bowling, weirdly good and almost always win whoever I go with.
Don’t go very often so it’s not down to practice. I’m not proud of it - it’s just the only thing I’m good at Grin

EvaHarknessRose · 28/02/2020 21:00

I make bloody lovely food for my family from whatever we have in, often in five seconds flat.

ch3y · 28/02/2020 21:00

@shosha1 pahaha! I love that one 🤣🤣🤣

SinglePringle · 28/02/2020 21:01

Ah, shucks! Thanks Sage! I’m with you on the ironing. A demon with a seam and the steam!!

TheVanguardSix · 28/02/2020 21:03

Animal telepathy. Animal singing. No really. I'm like a pied piper. My neighbours' dogs always come to my front door if they've been locked out by accident. I don't know why they don't just go home and bark at their own front door for their owner, but they come to mine instead. So I chat to them and take them home to their owners. It's lovely. Grin I love it! It's a total ego boost!

stoplickingthetelly · 28/02/2020 21:03

I’m good at makeup and choosing lipsticks for other people. Think maybe I just have a good eye for colour.

Bemystarlord · 28/02/2020 21:03

I’m good at Emergencies! In normal day to day activities i’m quite nervous and anxious but in a genuine emergency i excel! I can take charge, calm, organise, get done what needs to be done no matter what. Then i few days later i fall to pieces but during the event i’m a machine!!

thunderthighsohwoe · 28/02/2020 21:03

Children seem to like me (luckily I’m a teacher, and a bloody good one at that).
I’m an excellent skier, despite only going every few years.
I make damn good nachos.

However I cannot cook a single thing (nachos don’t count) and I’m told that my driving is nerve-wracking 😂

oneoffname · 28/02/2020 21:04

I can put a cherry stalk iny mouth and tie a knot in it with my tongue.

stoplickingthetelly · 28/02/2020 21:04

My dh is like the baby whisperer. They stop crying almost instantly with him - it’s really odd.

TeetotalKoala · 28/02/2020 21:04

I'm awesome with children. I've been told 'you'll have to build a slow relationship with Dave as he's anxious and doesn't trust easily'. Five minutes later Dave is my best friend. Just as well it's my job really.

Another who's awesome at parking.

Running. I hated it at school and decided to try it in my thirties. Turns out that I'm naturally fast with excellent stamina. Who knew?! But I don't discuss it because of the mentality that everyone is doing their best and it's not nice to brag.

Excellent sense of direction.

Tea-making (not coffee though, I hate when people ask for coffee. Apparently it's always nice, but I don't like it so I'm not confident in making it).

DH says I'm excellent at blowjobs. So that's nice.
