This is incredibly sad. Gigi had a promising basketball career ahead of her too Sad

Absolutely terrible news, rest in peace.

Pippin2028 · 26/01/2020 20:59

I couldn't believe it when I saw the news alerts! So sad and tragic, a man who retired at the top and onto the next chapter of his life! I cannot imagine the pain of his family.

WifOfBif · 26/01/2020 21:00

So sad. His poor family.

SidsWife · 26/01/2020 21:00

Can’t seem to process this at all! So so sad Sad

QueenOfOversharing · 26/01/2020 21:00

21 yrs ago, I named my son after him. This is just awful news - heartbroken for his family.

GrapefruitGin · 26/01/2020 21:01

So so sad

MirandaWest · 26/01/2020 21:02

DS is a big basketball fan and is really upset. He’s really taken it hard Sad.

I’ve seen various reports saying his daughters either were or weren’t in the helicopter with him

Campurp · 26/01/2020 21:02

This is just so sad. Praying for strength for the surviving family

GrapefruitGin · 26/01/2020 21:05

Sadly it’s been confirmed one of his daughters was with him, she was a talented basketball player with a very exciting future ahead of her Sad

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 26/01/2020 21:06

So terribly sad. I read (although so many conflicting reports) that they were on the way to her basketball practice with another player and parent.
His poor wife and other daughters.

MirandaWest · 26/01/2020 21:07

I didn’t realise how young his youngest daughter was Sad

BunnyTails · 26/01/2020 21:07

This news shocked me to the core. An amazing career, a millionaire many times over, won an Oscar, a sports legend and bang killed in a moment at 41. With his daughter too.

Minimamame · 26/01/2020 21:09

So so sad. His youngest daughter was only born last June.

ElloBrian · 26/01/2020 21:12

What what what

LosersClub · 26/01/2020 21:12

Very sad news..his poor wife 😢 I wouldn't be able to cope losing my husband and one of my kids 💔

AlecTrevelyan006 · 26/01/2020 21:12

RIP to all those who lost their life in this tragic accident.

Bryant was a wonderful basketball player - but not a wonderful human being.

I can't stop thinking about his wife how awful for her.

He was at a time in his life where he could enjoy what he had built with his family and it's all gone in an instant.

YesIDoLoveCrisps · 26/01/2020 21:18

Why wasn’t he a wonderful human being?

Redonion123 · 26/01/2020 21:21

@drowningmysorroes Don’t be so horrible. I have a basketball-loving son as well and he was shocked. Kobe Bryant was a hero to many young basketball players, one of the all-time greats.

LovePoppy · 26/01/2020 21:21

I’m incredibly sad considering That these are people I have never met and never would have met

DickDewy · 26/01/2020 21:21

I had never heard of him tbh, but my sons mentioned it. Very sad.

derxa · 26/01/2020 21:21
