This is incredibly sad. Gigi had a promising basketball career ahead of her too Sad

I won’t be shedding any tears for him. See above for why.

Divebar · 26/01/2020 21:23

That’s a confusing link because it shows an update from his attorney saying he wasn’t killed despite the news reports.

Redonion123 · 26/01/2020 21:26

Alec - didn’t know about that case. Only the basketball side of him.

Sakura7 · 26/01/2020 21:27

Is there really any need for this?

Bryant was a wonderful basketball player - but not a wonderful human being.

And this fucking gem

Did he know him personally?

Have a Biscuit

boatyroo · 26/01/2020 21:27

Divebar it's Rick Fox's attorney saying he (Rick Fox) wasn't involved.

AlecTrevelyan006 · 26/01/2020 21:29

Even those that know about it gloss over it.

Not that he deserved to die. But he was just another entitled rich and famous sportsman.

loobylou10 · 26/01/2020 21:29

@drowningmysorroes really no need for that was there?

ememem84 · 26/01/2020 21:31

@Divebar I thought that too. But re read. Rick fox’s attorney said he (Rick fox) wasn’t on board

iklboo · 26/01/2020 21:33

@Drowningmysorroes - the charm school called, they want their certificate back.

ActualHornist · 26/01/2020 21:35

I’ve just had an alert and read it on Apple news. There was no mention of his daughter being on board as well Sad

KatherineJaneway · 26/01/2020 21:35

How awful Sad

PatellarTendonitis · 26/01/2020 21:35

FFS. A 13-year-old has lost her life and people are busy denigrating her dead father.

Drowningmysorroes · 26/01/2020 21:36

Well it’s true. Yes you can feel sad and shocked.

But to take it badly over a person you’ve never met? No. His wife, children, family and friends are the one taking the news hard, the ones who now have their entire lives changed. Not someone who will wake up in a few days time and back the news no longer impact them.

GlitchStitch · 26/01/2020 21:39

How awful for his family. And his poor wife, losing both her husband and child. They have a very young baby too. So sad.

RJnomore1 · 26/01/2020 21:39

I’m very sorry about his child if that’s true but let’s not pretend he was a wonderful man.

A talented sportsman yes.

Aloe6 · 26/01/2020 21:42

He was a rapist who paid his way out of the justice system. I won’t be fawning over his death. The only sadness is his daughter if the reports are true that she has died too.

EmmiJay · 26/01/2020 21:45

Whatever he done in his life, just remember that at their last moments a 13yr old looked to her father to save her and he was helpless to do so! Show some respect or leave the thread. God help Vanessa Bryant and her surviving children.

Didn’t know who he was - the sports philistine I am- but, rapist or not, it’s awful for the family he has gone. A young child also deceased and children without a dad. Very sad.

StarUtopia · 26/01/2020 21:47

It's bizarre isn't it how suddenly we forgive a rapist when they die just because they were amazing at their sport?

A very talented sportsman, yes. An amazing man? Hmm.

Very tragic nonetheless for his family and awful about his daughter too.

balletpanda · 26/01/2020 21:48

I can't believe it, the whole thing is so tragic. I asked my parents what they thought of him and they had no idea who I was talking about..but I've followed his career for years and especially with his family it's just awful

BorneoBabe · 26/01/2020 21:48

This is a website for women. Women are victims of sex assaults and rapes on epidemic levels. We're allowed to note his history.

kateandme · 26/01/2020 21:49

very sad for his family and little girl.no death especailly like this is right.
but he was a bastard that probbly killed a 19 year old.at the time watching what he put her through.and then coming out with the statement that he did indeed do it.bastard.he recovered,i doubt she ever did.

Aloe6 · 26/01/2020 21:54

Are you actually serious? What a shame Kobe didn’t respect the 19 year old he raped.

LouHotel · 26/01/2020 22:00

I can’t believe people mentioning his disturbing history are being labelled as cunts, thats some basement level misogyny.

Feel desperately sad for his daughter but I saw a comment online that summed up that there is a rape victim out there who for the next several days will see every media outlet in the country fawning over this man.
