Do you remember the names of everyone you have slept with?

.Randomly thinking about this last night and it occurred to me that I can’t remember the name of one of the men that I have had sex with.

I can picture him clearly but for the life of me can’t remember his name. It was a brief drunken holiday fling so no way of finding it out either.

It doesn’t really bother me, just surprised that I can’t recall his name.

Just wondered if it was normal?

Yes, but I’m currently on number 2 and hopefully he’ll be the final one.

Yes, but there have only been 5. Two short term boyfriends, a ONS with an ex colleague, my ex husband, and a FWB that I had for a couple of years.

I've never had sex with a stranger or anyone that I met on a night out. But I met my exh at 18 years old so was in a long term relationship from then on.

Depends how memorable the sex was tbh.

There's a couple where I'm not sure if it was a Jamie or a James say. And definitely not sure of a few surnames

God no. Tbh I couldn't tell you the exact number of people I've slept with. Just a ballpark figure.

I also can't remember the name of one, we worked together in America as students years ago. Everyone else I can remember but even the one night stands were people I was friendly with.

@YouJustDoYou He cried in this awful squealing, whinnying way as he was thrashing about on top of me. I was 16 and he was only my third (I think?) - I was absolutely horrified! Definitely my worst ever, but at least I got it out of the way early on.

On the plus side, he was so desperate to keep me when I dumped him he kept giving me stock from his shop which sold retro stuff. This was almost 20 years ago.. I refused pretty much all of it except the Raleigh Chopper, which I did up and sold for £800 last year. So, swings and roundabouts.

I am always puzzled why people say “slept with” when they mean “had sex with”. There are people I’ve had sex with that I have never slept with and people I have slept with but not had sex with.

But turning to what is meant by the question. I could probably work first names out if l had pen and paper and started a list and revisited it every few days as other names come to mind.

But surnames, no!

And people I’ve had sex with and regretted? Nil. In my 40s, had a lovely time along the way and in the words of Edith Piaf “Non, je ne regrette rien”!

You know when you have that awkward moment when you see someone that knows you, but you can’t place them? Well normally I try introducing them to someone in the hope they will offer their name, have a quick surreptitious Facebook search, or try conversational explorations like ‘are you still at the place’ etc.

With this guy I was at a bus stop, it was cold, wet and I couldn’t be bothered so I just said ‘I’m sorry how do I know you?’

He looked hurt, and after a pause said ‘bitchy, we slept together’

As I have only ever slept with one man (my husband) I am not likely to forget his name!

Nope. Most memorable was "bloke who nearly knocked my unconscious because he had a cast on his wrist"....

I can remember the names of the ones whose names I knew when we had sex at least....

Yes, as for years I was bought a journal every Christmas, so wrote it all down

Yes. I am 45 and have slept with only 6 men in my life. I can remember all their names. I'd find it a bit shocking if I couldn't!

No. Not sure I ever remembered their name at the time!
