It's on Netflix and it's called A Simple Favour

Anna Kendrick plays "Mom Stereotype"

Blake Lively plays "Mysterious Woman Stereotype"

Henry Golding plays "Wooden Husband"

Appalling dialogue and acting

Weird incest subplot

Recommended for purposes of mockery.

But... but

Independence Day?

Watched it killing time when storms in the Irish Sea postponed our crossing by 8 hours.

It was awesomely, spectacularly, deeply appalling. 😂

piercedmyfootonaspike · 29/11/2019 23:28

I don't think it's been mentioned but P.S. I Love You is fucking awful and I'm a fan of many crap films! Gerard Butler's accent is just cringey and the leads have no chemistry whatsoever.

Also, Jupiter Ascending. Channing Tatum plays a dog man from space (yes really) and Mila Kunis is a cleaner but secretly queen of the universe. I watched it on a long haul flight and was so gutted I had wasted a plane film on that utter shite. The story seems as though it was created by a 7 year old in a creative writing exercise

MsTSwift · 29/11/2019 23:54

Moonlight

PennyPinkleton · 30/11/2019 00:07

@chomalungma Left Behind is shockingly bad. Nicholas Cage is dreadful in it!

@econowifey The Family Stone is one of my favourite films and is on my Christmas film advent calendar

weegiemum · 30/11/2019 00:19

The worst film ever is Happy Feet 2.

Dh will not shut up about how bad it was when he took dd2 to see it while Dd1 and ds were in Puss In Boots.

I was at home. Thank fuck.

lowlandLucky · 30/11/2019 05:10

The 3 Amigos has to be the worst film ever made

JolieOBrien · 30/11/2019 06:26

@piercedmyfootonaspike

I agree about PS I love you ... I read the book and loved it so was looking forward to the film which was dreadful. Gerry is not a very good actor imho

bluetongue · 30/11/2019 06:59

I’m currently watching ‘Falling Inn Love’ on Netflix thanks to this thread. It’s sort of so bad it’s good Grin

MsTSwift · 30/11/2019 07:22

We thought Isn’t it Romantic was quite good. Laughed a few times

JolieOBrien · 30/11/2019 07:34

@bluetongue

I might go and watch it ... I could do with some romance in my life instead of boring fishing and football which my husband and son watch all the time.

soulrunner · 30/11/2019 07:55

I loved Isnt it Romantic. Laughed a lot

Autumntoowet · 30/11/2019 08:02

I liked Abre los ojos in my youth. Then Tom Cruise throws money into making it his film and comes up with Vanilla sky which is shit. A copy of a film. Why?

VanillaSugarr · 30/11/2019 08:10

The Angry Birds Movie.

That’s two hours of my life and £40 I’ll never get back. And now thay add to my misery with Angry Birds II.

chomalungma · 30/11/2019 08:13

Nicholas Cage movies do appear a lot in this list.

Maybe he just gets bad scripts?

MoreMoneyPlease · 30/11/2019 08:22

@Artesia too late, I've already watched Holiday in the Wild...ridiculous premise, a plot my cat could have written and zero chemistry between the main characters. Rob Lowe didn't even manage to keep my attention. Elephants were cute though!

SheChoseDown · 30/11/2019 08:36

WOAH WOAH WOAH WTF hot tub time machine is one of my absolute favourite films of all time.
I love the setting, 80s ski resort?! Fkin ace man! It's a riot

IlsSortLaPlupartAuNuitMostly · 30/11/2019 10:01

I thought Isn’t It Romantic was enjoyable. There’s definitely much worse movies on Netflix.

blindmansbluff · 30/11/2019 10:07

Hot tub time machine is awesome, so bad that it's good.

The worst film I've ever seen is Mars Attacks! I was a teenager when it came out and it was THE thing to watch. Total utter shite Grin

Alwaysrainsonme · 30/11/2019 10:18

‘Rebel Without a Cause’.

Such a let down.

MitziK · 30/11/2019 11:01

I now have to see Santa Claws. Probably when pissed relaxing on Christmas Eve.

The Tom Cruise abomination that is The Mummy was awful. Its high point was that Russell Crowe's Dr Jekyll turns inexplicably into Ray Winstone instead of Mr Hyde and I started laughing and couldn't stop from that point on. Moreover, it was so bad that it destroyed the chance of the Universal Monsters Dark Universe series ever thrusting a skeletal hand out from the depths of an inexplicably opened tomb - which really irritates me, as I'm a massive old (ie, not Torture Porn or Slasher) horror movie fan.

Anything with M Knight Shyamalan involved. About 30 seconds into the I See Dead People movie, I said 'He's dead, isn't he?', the slightly dodgy choosing to be Amish movie 'It's the present day', and fucking Mel Gibson and the Aliens allergic to water, I covered all bases by saying 'Is this an M Knight Shyamalan movie? It's going to be fucking shit then' and took myself off to bed.

x2boys · 30/11/2019 11:08

I.agree Rebel without a cause is a massive let down, but for a truly awful.film Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil is right up.there ,I actually paid money to watch it .

iklboo · 30/11/2019 11:10

The worst film I've ever seen is Mandy, with Nic Cage. Truly, truly awful.

ironickname · 30/11/2019 11:18

I quite liked it. It wasn't the best film ever, but was ok for a night in alone.

IamMadameX · 30/11/2019 12:14

I enjoyed A Simple Favour until near the end I was so angry, the way it went, was enjoying it till then. But there's much worse films

Film I hate include Groundhog Day I now its a classic but was so bored

Walked out off the most recent Transformers film, after an hour nothing had happened. But to be honest don't know why we were there in first place, making use off unlimited card.

Hated the last Tanertino film, again nothing happened so so dull.

Watched The shape of water the other day, beautiful shot and leading actress was amazing but god what a plot.

Itsasamlife · 30/11/2019 15:20

I loved a simple favour, love actually & pulp fiction is my favourite film.

I can’t stand anything with Adam Sandler- he’s the exact same character in everything he does!
