It's on Netflix and it's called A Simple Favour

Anna Kendrick plays "Mom Stereotype"

Blake Lively plays "Mysterious Woman Stereotype"

Henry Golding plays "Wooden Husband"

Appalling dialogue and acting

Weird incest subplot

Recommended for purposes of mockery.

About Time doesn't get half the hate Love, Actually gets and it is way more problematic

Solaris: worst. Film. Ever.

SomeHalfHumanCreatureThing · 28/11/2019 23:47

I knew I was right to avoid Solaris

MistyCloud · 28/11/2019 23:47

@VanyaHargreeves Oh thanks !!!

I needed something new to watch. Grin I will report back on what I think.

ZenNudist · 28/11/2019 23:48

I enjoyed it Blush

VanyaHargreeves · 28/11/2019 23:49

In an ironic sense?

OP posts:
claptomania · 28/11/2019 23:51

Domino. Completely appalling.

Doryhunky · 28/11/2019 23:52

I enjoyed both Bridesmaids and Simple Favour.

claptomania · 28/11/2019 23:53

The Keira Knightley one I mean. Although apparently there is also a newer terrible film with the same title!

MistyCloud · 28/11/2019 23:54

I loved Bridesmaids. Also loved Love Actually.

runs and hides......

MistyCloud · 28/11/2019 23:58

Although.... Keira Knightly saying 'I look quite pwitty' (when watching her wedding video,) and Martine McCutcheon saying 'oh piss it!' when fluffing a line in front of the prime minister, is a bit annoying. (Who, in the history of mankind, has ever said 'oh piss it?!')

I still like the film Love Actually though. Smile

overnightangel · 28/11/2019 23:59

Same director that did the Ghostbusters reboot abomination, enough said. Now THAT has a shout for being the worst film ever

1066vegan · 28/11/2019 23:59

At least those if you watching on Netflix could switch it off.

My teenage dd dragged me to see this rubbish at the cinema. I fell asleep in the middle and missed about half an hour. I don't think it would have been any more coherent if I'd seen all of it.

PyongyangKipperbang · 29/11/2019 00:06

My worst film is a very unpopular choice.

Pulp Fiction.

It is the worst pile of garbage ever to steal 2 hours of my life, but when I tell people they look at me like I said that my hobby is skewering kittens! "Its a classic!" No, its utter utter tripe.

However in the "Films so bad, they are good" category I give you....

Ghost Shark
Zombie Beavers (get your mind out of the gutter, it concerns buck toothed, tree gnawing, dead mammals)
and my personal favourite

Thirteen Erotic Ghosts.

I had not long had DD when I that came on during a 3 am feed. I laughed so hard I woke her up, pee'd myself and apparently was giggling in my sleep when I finally made it back to bed :o

Fairenuff · 29/11/2019 00:06

Nah, you are all lightweights.

Lawnmower Man.

Watch it.

Then comment on this thread.

Fairenuff · 29/11/2019 00:10

Oh, I mean The Straight Story, which is about a lawnmower man, not the film called The Lawnmower Man.

Thesearmsofmine · 29/11/2019 00:13

This film came up on my recommended bit tonight, I decided against it after recently watching Anna Kendrick in another terrible film on Netflix called Mr Right. It was so bad that we turned it off less than halfway through.

Swiped is another awful film on Netflix.

sobeyondthehills · 29/11/2019 00:19

May I recommend Rubber

Also

Sand Shark
Snow Shark
6 headed shark attack
Tremors 5
Sharknado 5
Lake Placid Vs Anaconda

I am sure I can come up with loads more

SomeHalfHumanCreatureThing · 29/11/2019 00:21

"Same director that did the Ghostbusters reboot abomination, enough said. Now THAT has a shout for being the worst film ever"

I love new ghostbusters. I recognize that it's a bit shit, still love it. But then I do have a bit of a thing for Holtzmann

I have just watched the worst film
Horehound · 29/11/2019 00:22

I really dislike Anna Kendrick. There's something bitchy about her.
Says me being a bitch

Neolara · 29/11/2019 00:28

Have you watched Spongebob Squarepants The Movie? If not, you have not watched the worst movie.

CallarMorvern · 29/11/2019 00:35

You obviously haven't seen The Knight Before Christmas, one of Netflix's movies made for this Christmas. I was looking for shmaltzy and feel good, but dear lord it was terrible.
Though prize for worst movie ever, ever goes to The Moshi Monsters Movie, never been so bored in my life.

Catsandchardonnay · 29/11/2019 00:37

@Neolara what??? Spongebob was brilliant!

Horehound · 29/11/2019 00:41

Actually the worst film is some Christmas thing with Susan Boyle. Think it's called"the Christmas candle".

She is soooo awkward in it. No eye contact with the actor she's talking to. No idea why they cast her. Terrible film.
